I read this as an ebook in the 2010s on Kobo, there's a light romance plot between one of the male mcs and a shy fem mc with some sort of facial scars??. I believe it switches povs between all the characters (I don't recall how many kids with powers there was, only that it was a group). SPOILER (helpful detail)



the book ends with the FMC comforting the MMC (or perhaps the other way around) by pressing a hand to his/her scarred cheek, and the next day they wake up and where the hand was pressed against their cheek, the facial scars(burns?) have been healed.
