Jan (jan130) | 2666 comments I like this trope, because the widow/widower has some life experience which they bring to the new relationship. For me this adds interest to a story.

It's hard to choose what to nominate when there is so much to choose from. Some interesting ones have already been nominated :) I have picked two that I've already read and enjoyed, that others might enjoy too. I would happily read either of them again.

The Young Blood by Erin Satie. I really like Erin Satie's writing, and I'm sad she announced earlier this year she is not writing HRs any more. Still, we can enjoy those she has written.
The Young Blood (No Better Angels #4) by Erin Satie .

The Edge of Impropriety by Pam Rosenthal. A more mature couple (an archaeologist and a novelist), with an interesting storyline.

Petra | 142 comments I would love to nominate “The Earl she should never desire” by Lara Temple.
This might be one of my favorite books of all time and Lara Temple is just not mentioned enough.
Sorry not sure how to tag the book in here

message 10: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 1369 comments I don't think I've ever read Lara Temple. I'm going to have to try one if her books

message 11: by Mariana (new)

Mariana | 2692 comments I have never read Lara Temple either. I love to discover new to me authors. After browsing her books, it seems her heroes are all wild rogues or rakes.

Maureen | 183 comments I would like to nominate these two novels:Lyon's Bride (The Chattan Curse, #1)
by Cathy Maxwell https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Which was your favorite hero?

Since The Earl She Should Never Desire may be your favorite book, perhaps I should wait and see if it wins the BOTM.

A quick note that nominations will close slightly earlier this month (15th) - as I am going away on the 16th for a few days and will not be able to get the voting organised while I am traveling (and Sandra has some computer issues). A bit light on mods at present :)

I think the Earl from [book:The Earl She Should Never Desire
is my favorite and I feel the same now I want to reread but maybe it will win the book of the month so I'll wait.

Wow the Dark Side of the Sun sounds intriguing....'a full-length regency era dark romance.... about depravity, desire, and acute retribution.'
