Unexpected death in the movie?

I don't think it's going to be another death, I think it's going to be an already existing death moved forward, IF this is true at all.
from the teasers that i see beign talked about in that thread, i woudln't b e surprised if one of those folks was moved up to the 2nd movie. to be honest, it's a character that i've been rather vocal about not liking and it would give their 'counterpart' a chance to really just stand on their own and be the leader that we're given the impression they were meant to be. the only challenge of course is that there are bits of the story where you're meant to question that person's loyalty in TDC - do i don't know what that will mean if they are killed off in the 2nd movie instead of the 3rd.
guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Dashner confirmed there will be an already existing death, so I am assuming he is referring to (view spoiler). Especially since (as mentioned in that imbd article): (view spoiler).

I had a suspicion that they might end it there as well, but that cliffhanger would kill me!
I reckon I would yack in the cinema if they ended it there. Just the thought of it is enough to make me break down and cry in front of everyone :'(

We're talking about in the Scorch Trials MOVIE, not the book. But it doesn't matter because apparently it's not true.
It was just a theory some people had that could have been a possibility.

That link's been updated. Instead of saying it is confirmed that there will be an unexpected death in the film, it says, It is confirmed there will be a death in the film, but it matches with a death in the book.
Don't really trust anything imdb puts out there. But I did read an interview w/ dashner and he said there was no new deaths, but there will be an already existing one for the book. Does that make sense? I can't find the link

Oh, I never trust imbd, but I just thought it was somewhat ironic that we were all talking about whether or not the Unexpected Death was a true rumor, and in the mean time, the link changed. I'm not saying that it's legitimate; I just thought it was funny.

Yes!! I also read the kill order.
I know she dies in the death cure but perhaps they could kill her in the movie? I really don't like her.

Yeah, you're probably right, it's quite fun, she gets squished by the roof. :)
May I ask, would it simply be too much for non-book readers for Newt AND Teresa to die in the same movie, not too far apart from each other? Maybe that's why the rumour is leaning towards Teresa dying in TST. I don't know, just a thought.
And we don't have to wait too long now do we? It's next month :D

Well I didn't plan on seeing paper towns at all until a week or so after it came out and I was like why not. I hated the book and didn't expect it to be good but it was . . . alright. Better than the book but not the greatest movie of all time. I'm hoping the scorch trials does better but I'm worried because I only recognise one thing from the trailer. #heartbroken
