Even though I have tried for several years now I can't seem to finish or to enjoy my reading. I need to know if anyone genuinely enjoys her books, did anyone feel identified and represented with her books? I didn't like Rowell's style at all, even though I've given more than 3 tries to different books by her but I just can't. It never connects with me, I find it to be boring. I would like to have a different point of view and opinion, I need someone to convince me and explain their reasons why they think it is a good read how they feel identified, and what makes the reading enjoyable, is it her sense of humor? I but I would like to. (Without any intention to disrespect the author, I respect her work but it doesn't connect with me at all).
I enjoy how real her characters feel. She's a very character-driven author and you can feel pieces of her and those that have impacted her in every interaction. None of her characters are perfect or inexplicably great at everything, which I find a tiring trait of most YA and New Adult novels that I've read. I've read every book of Rainbow's and I've been tempted to read her comics for years. Every time I read her work I find myself yearning to be surrounded by other people so I can feel as human and raw as she writes her characters.
