Terri FL (territhemuse) | 6 comments I had a beautiful and I think small book in the 70’s that had been my mother’s when she was young in the 40’s I believe. The main character was a fairy named Fiona. She had made a beautiful dress to go to a fairy ball that was ruined on some thorns. She thought she couldn’t go but her friends (insects?) made her a new even prettier dress made of spider silk. I may not remember the details well but I think I’m close at least. I lost my mom last year so can’t ask her but I loved this book so would love some help to find it!

Terri FL (territhemuse) | 6 comments I’m sorry, I will update the header with more details tomorrow when I’m on my laptop. I don’t know how to edit in the app.

Would it definitely have been before 1950?

Sula | 2 comments I'm afraid I don't have answer, but I'm definitely sure I remember coming across a story like this in perhaps an annual or a collection of stories, which might have been published 70s or 80s, but I'm really not sure. At some point when I have access to some books of mine in storage I'll have a look, and if I find anything, post it here. No guarantee I still own it though. Sorry I can't be of more immediate help!
