Hi, fellow librarians! I have just only recently noticed that a number of edits and corrections I made to book records have been undone by "amazon_catalog" and "amazon_com". Most, if not all, of the changes these two made are wrong and inaccurate. They also seem to be adding duplicate editions of books.
This is concerning as they not only undo our efforts in making accurate book records but also add more work to be done. While I see the benefits of having bots in making a comprehensive database, when these bring in inaccuracies, it's counterintuitive.
Have there been developments in limiting these bot-made changes? Is this a problem currently being addressed by Goodreads?
Hi Scott and Corinne! Thanks for your tips and for helping me catch up in the developments. Will certainly do my due diligence in reporting instances with Support. Thanks again!
