3rd gen ggs and 4th gen ggs are both really really different and i love both but i prefer 3rd gen a lot more than 4th gen ggs

to the opinions about bts's changes in music: that's where my unpopular opinion is brought up!tbh i too, miss bts's "old-self" but i think their changes is good for them. same to any kpop group that experiences changes in comebacks, them as a group, music-style, etc.
armys and nonarmys usually criticise bts for not being their "old-self" but it's like telling toddlers to never grow up. apparently, not making similar music as their "old-self" is also considered something to criticise on. but really, if any kpop group were to make similar music to their old music, it'd be considered repetitive. kpop idols are humans too. as fans/nonfans/haters, we're gonna have to see them change somehow. as for bts, they're heading to the 30s not the 20s.
and bp! to some people, their recent songs have changed and fans/nonfans don't like it. and to others, it's the same exact song as their old songs so people would dislike it and consider it repetitive.
you can dislike a group because of their changes in music style. that's you. but for me, i think changes in music isn't really a thing that i would dislike about a group or stop becoming apart of the fandom because of those changes.
anyway, this is just my opinion. sorry that it's kind of long 😅 i've always thought about this for the past year and i was also too shy to say something about it until now. it's just an opinion, no need to agree! and if you do disagree, please be nice 🥹

This opinion made me see a whole different view! I still do insanely miss the older music. It gives me nostalgia 😔
I HAVE ANOTHER ONE!!!!!More boy groups need to disband
There are so many early 3rd and even 2nd gen boy groups that are still active and they just need to disband *COUGH COUGH* SUPER JUNIOR *COUGH COUGH* So many ggs in 3rd and even in 4th gen that have already disbanded with so little comeback and I also find it a little unfair for new boy groups debuting and not getting many recognition due to older boy groups little coming back! Another thing is that the older boy groups are trying to be like newer bg with noisy music, which isn't doing that well for them imo

Twice gives double the comebacks, and if they did the schedule bp did, they would be on their 2019 comebacks!! They also have a very very strong line up and always tries to give it their all in performances!!
AND IF THEY DIDNT DO ANY CONCEPT CHANGE THEY WOULD BE THE CUTESY GIRL CRUSH AND THAT DOESNT FIT THEM ANYMORE!!

Not a hater. But I feel like Blackpink is overrated. I love some of their songs but I feel like most of them are kinda weird and meaningless. D4 and Lalisa for example. Also, the fandom is super toxic...

AJ yeah in some ways i agree. i love some of their songs but i feel that most of them sound exactly the same (KTL and DDDD sounds exactly the same-)
although i'm a blink, i kinda agree. i didn't get lalisa's hype and although i love many of their songs, they are kinda weird and meaningless, but i still think they're fun to listen to!for all of bts's eng songs, i think people are judging them based on those 3 eng songs and ignoring all their amazing past comebacks.
also, i do miss the 3rd and cute concepts but i do understand changes

Ok speaking about toxic, please don’t jump on me about this one because there’s a lot of you in this fandom, but SKZ is one of the most TOXIC fandom in. The group, I love, (not a Stan) but the fandom is so toxic! (No one here I know is so…)If they aren’t what some people consider#1, STAYs jump on people. I was asked who I thought was the best vocalist and I said Jungkook and all the RV members. STAYs immediately cancelled me because apparently, Han is THE BEST vocalist in the kpop fandom. Han is amazing but I don’t think he’s a VOCAL but a rapper. It’s an OPINION and they won’t respect it which is why I’m not part of the fandom no more.

yes I agree, stays and armies fandoms are pretty toxic. i’ve experienced getting and seeing people get attacked by stays because of different opinions and interests, and although i love love bts and i’m protective over them as well, armies tend to be overprotective over the members leading them to take things too far…
but every group has some toxic fans and i think fans should still continue supporting their favorite groups and ignore those toxic fans, instead of letting them affect supportive fans
Probably not unpopular, but Itzy's title tracks from Loco onwards have been not so good. B-sides are better than title tracks
A lot of nugu groups make better music than bigger groups
