@nat I support you on the statement that 4th and 5th gen are not that talented. Especially 5th gen! I do not expect anything from them. Very few 4th gen groups are talented imo like Straykids.
These days all artists are just making catchy songs to go viral. They keep repeating the same few lines over and over again. And that is when they don't even write their songs themselves.
If they release songs in English it should still be k-pop I guess? They are kpop idols after all.

i think bts english songs dynamite and butter started the english songs in kpop trend after they blew upsure there were obviously english songs in kpop but they didn’t blow up like dynamite and butter.

and yes, nat, dynamite is one of the most popular songs here and yes it has been called annoying by some people because it’s overplayed because it’s so damn popular. but no, i never heard anyone call it the most annoying western song (me being western myself) :)

@nat since you brought up english songs and how redvvelt, Vespa, and nmixx have eng songs that got really popular, she’s only stating that bts were kinda the cause of more and more kpop groups making eng music. Of course they aren’t the only reason but they are one of them. :)

anywayanyway, if u feel like checking out their music, i recommend lucid dreamsand illusion :D also their whole album 'my world' @ultvl if you do listen to their main tracks first, immediately listen to their non-main tracks because for me, i like they're non-main tracks better! (js my preferences tho) and their's ~variety~
