My Manchae (eunchae) is under 18, the company is letting her perform an inappropriate choreo for the song "smart". Why??
Because kpop companies like to exploit minors instead of hiring people who are of actual real working age, which probably points to some issue with age discrimination but that’s a lot to get into. They’ve also stopped debuting minors like losers (nct dream) and just put them straight into doing all the sexual choreo shit that all the adults do, the difference being that then instead of people thirsting over a grown adult they’re instead thirsting over literal children, and the companies don’t care because they just want profit, and that kind of choreo is what brings people in and gives groups popularity. It’s not about “letting” her perform an inappropriate choreo, it’s about her job being to do whatever the company tells her to do, and if that involves sexualizing herself as a minor then that’s what she’ll do, hope this helps <3

Also hate for debuting at 25 is literally insane, when 25 is like university graduation age, so a reasonable time to start working

I don't think 4th(and new 5th) gen are worse in terms of actual music as compared to early 4th gen and before, it's just that the TikTokification of music only makes the mediocre stuff trend.
Yea the less than 10 songs and 30 minutes as a 'full album' is still a problem but there's so many smaller groups releasing FANTASTIC music over 3 minutes that no one pays attention to and then turn around and say late 4th/5th gen is boring/lacking

I disagree, 4th gen and 3rd gen music have a very clear difference in their styles. I searched it up, apparently, Atez and stray kids "marked" the start of fourth generation and i have listened to atleast one of their songs from both said groups. I don't know much about fourth gen since I don't listen to it but when I did, 3rd and 4th clearly have different styles. Also, is it just me or is 4th gen kpop all about visuals and dancing and not much music?And to me, many 3rd gen groups' music hits home while I listen to a 4th gen song and forget almost everything about it the next day 😭

The "albums" under 30 minutes is so funny when I go look at a band of another genre and the album has 20 songs and is almost an hour long
Groups lacking lengthy releases just make it seem like they're churning things out as fast as possible tbh

Like enhypen with their songs under 3 minutes seems like the focus is less on the music. Even if that isn't the intention, I don't know when songs below 3 were normalized but it sucks
But then there's groups like ateez that release quality stuff (above 3 minutes ffs), while also having great chreography
I didn't listen to their last release but the one before that with the purple album cover, I watched the mv a grand total of once, the music was good on its own
What gets me is members who seem like their only purpose is to look pretty, and they're given next to no lines. That pisses me off

seriously i wanna cry. these skz are 4th gen leaders are killing me.
what i think is that there is no such thing as 4th gen leaders whatsoever. like i get they’re probably the 1st group of 4th gen but that sure in hell does not mean they’re marked as the leaders just bc they’re “first”. yes, they release quality stuff, but other groups created equally quality stuff as well. stray kids themselves didn’t make anything sososososo great and fs, didn’t dominate in all areas. yeah u can have opinions on who’s who, but when it comes to 4th gen, IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, I feel like there is no leader, all groups in this gen all are equivalent and shine equally. but if ppl start stating it as a fact, BYEE.
