while i thought it wasn't that bad and the song doesn't sound bad overall, yg recycled concepts and gave it to babymonster. u can see the amount of bp references a mile away. i see what ygs trying to do here... while babymonster did pull it off (kinda), it doesn't mean that they will do successfully in that concept just because bp was successful. anyway, it just was (i agree) very unoriginal 😭

omgg the sting like a bee part was stuck on my mind forever!! 😭 i even made a little choreo for that part with my sister and then cringed later 😂
they have a lot more potential then…batter up. yes it wasn't bad but blackpink is BLACKPINK. babymonster could've had a WHOLE other style but they just had to waste the debut on blackpink 2.0 😭😭
also the rap parts sound so similar to jennie and lisa 😭😭

I know I'm late about the clothes discussion but here's my opinion:I feel like k-pop men get called gay and stuff because the companies make them wear such girly clothes. They are men so it's better if they just wear clothes that are masculine. As for women, I agree their clothes are pretty short and uncomfortable. It's hard to dance in them as well. They already have to dance in heels unlike men. And a lot of times they get sl*t shamed for it too.

I said SM because of the mistreatment but also because of how they have been handling Riize and all the backlash those boys have had recently.

I actually can't, based on treatment and grps, popularity and music taste imo it's Hybe>>JYP>>SM>>>YG
I like HYBE's music like LSFM, NWJ, BTS, TXT, Enhypen, SEVENTEEN, and they hv pretty strong choreos with synced dances, I don't listen to promis9 neither am I a fan, G-FRIEND was good.
JYP, i feel like quality decreased, like ITZY, their songs r good but not the same, and NMIXX too, they ain't bad but like ykwim, btw it's imo. But JYP has good dance-machines

Honestly though no company can be perfect unfortunately. So you will always be able to find something you don't like about literally every company.
Even common people in Korea get so much work done and then they shame idols for doing that. Why make the beauty standards so hard in the first place that they have to get plastic Surgery? Just accept them for what they are.
With the 4th gen k-pop is slowly turning from dance and vocals to just visuals.

hybe's music is simply much better than the other companies in my opinion. plus, bts, nwjns, seventeen, txt, and many other popular groups are made in hybe.

best company is hybe imo. (i think there was a poll about this?) i like their music better and many of their groups are very successful. as people say sm strong with vocals, jyp with dance, and yg with rap, i feel like hybe is more of an all rounder, strong with all. their style fits me more, too! :)
Ok so I just happened to see in another chat that the topic came up about Eric Nam being a Zionist... and I don't want to start a fight or anything (especially because it was cleared up in the other chat), BUT before I start in on my opinion I would like to say that I am not on a side with the whole Israel/Palestine thing. Now for my opinion: I just find it a little odd that some people in this group are always saying things like "Why can't people treat idols like humans" or "Idols should be able to make up their own decisions" usually in terms of the clothing they wear, or relationships, or even just how they live. But when some of them say something stating an opinion of something that is currently is happening, that is when they get canceled, and people start to ask others to stop supporting those idols.
And I want to make it known that I am not picking on ANYONE about their opinions and if I have offended you I deeply and sincerely apologize. I was just stating something that I have started to notice recently.

And people are dying on both sides, I believe that this whole situation is utterly heartbreaking. But the opinion that I stated was not meant to be about Israel/Palestine it was just in general that idols can't state those kind of opinion for these kind of topics for fear of being cancelled.
