The book i was going to read next “The Handler” doesnt have a kindle page count listed on goodreads. My arc says 344 on my kindle but im not sure thats accurate?
If you can send me the appropriate links to prove the edition you're reading (like amazon), then I can update the page information

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been quiet! My daughter gave me the flu as a Thanksgiving gift. I am SO thankful.
I thankfully seem to be at the end of it. Still feeling terrible at night, but able to function a bit during the day.

You have until the end of the challenge to read and answer DQs for The Violin Conspiracy, but you'll need to finish and answer DQs by 12/2 to get the extra credit for Starter Villain.

Brittany: How attached are you to reading The Many Lives of Mama Love: A Memoir of Lying, Stealing, Writing, and Healing (Lara Love Hardin) this round? Because it is Non-Fiction, we can't use "characters" at all, so I don't see a letter we can use!

It will definitely be done before the next round, I will finish it tonight. I don't think the next round starts until the 2nd or 3rd You can just delete it. It will work for other things :)

I’ve suggested adding the subject of the book or the person who it’s about as spell it out options, but not enough people in the group read non-fiction for it to change.
It's like considering it to be less of a book. They are characters. Why can we use a real-life character in a fiction book if we cannot use nonfiction people? You would have to go all or none. Only fake people can be used?Sorry this is a pet peeve of mine in challenges that do this
Past challenges used to let us use location as one of the letters, I guess that's not a thing anymore
Wheels doesn't allow location, but UNO does. I can't remember off hand for Towers....
Ah yeah Uno, the setup is similar, right? on the tracking sheet. I think i was confused about the first round of Wheels and accidentally added in a couple. thank you for clarifying :)
Towers doesn't allow Location for letters, just Author F/L, Title, Series, and this year they allowed the Publisher Name
Also, I think it's easy to tell who is a main focus of the book with non-fiction. And we have to be trustworthy to not just make up characters or inflate their parts in fiction, so.... personally I understand the frustration. I love non fiction, but I read much less for Wheels for this reason.But, rules is rules! We can't win 'em all!
Mama Love was a ghostwriter for Desmond Tutu and the Dalai Lama and became friends with Oprah Winfrey and was featured in her bookclub pick and invited into her inner circle, etc. So there were a lot of famous people in there

Read books written by or about musicians. This could be non-fiction about a musician or band; or it could be fiction - in which case the main character(s) should be a professional musician (or aspiring). Someone who plays an instrument for personal pleasure only doesn't count.
Each book read will earn an additional 5 bonus points and a maximum of 10 bonuses.

Hey Lauri! It looks like this book has "salsa" in it a bunch of times. One is in the beginning - ish and it says "salsa, Huh? Channel your inner Mark Anthony"
Unfortunately, Google Books is not giving me a page number. If you get a chance, could you scan your book for salsa for the extra points? :)

In the same vein, Happy Trail has "folk" in it. Ariel, could you see if you could find a page number for "Folk music." I'm serious. He tilts his head to the side. "You're a fiddle player?"
