I've been good! Trying to get as many fantasy stuff in over these 2 weeks for a different challenge so I've been throwing smaller books around trying to pick what I want to read! I'm going to start Broken Glass today and it's short so one more for the city bonus! I have a few bigger books I'm reading slowly (Harrow the Ninth, The Destroyer, Blood Promise)
I might try get something by Nicole R. Taylor in - a lot of her stuff is set in Australia
I've been unwell the last few days and couldn't even be on my laptop or listen to 1989 (Taylor's Version) when it came out yesterday, so no listening to audiobooks or reading either...I'm still not 100% but will check into work a little bit later and depending on how I feel even take the dog for a walk afterwards. I don't have much of XOXO left so should probably finish that by Monday (just remembered there'll also be F1 on the next two nights after work :b)
I'm good. I've been training for the last couple of months to be a librarian so my schedule is everywhere and I try my best to listen to books as much as I can. I finished the New Orleans book the other day and the Detroit book last night, I didn't claim any spot for those books, just the letters it will fit.

Oh no, hope you feel better soon!
I'm kind of annoyed with the whole fuss about TSwift but I did listen to 1989 TV yesterday cause it's always been my favorite album of hers... now I'm back to my casual boycott 🙈

Ah that's cool!
What are the H & D names in Getting His Game Back? I think we're going to use it for either of those letters

D is for Darius - Khalil's best friend
H is for narrator's last name - Horvath

Great, thanks!
Hope you're feeling better Christina! The rugby final is tonight and f1 on tomorrow (and it's halloween weekend so there's loads on around me) so I'll be busy busy but I have time monday to relax and get some reading in during the day
Alyana, that's so cool!! How's the training going?
Judy wrote: "I'm kind of annoyed with the whole fuss about TSwift but I did listen to 1989 TV yesterday cause it's always been my favorite album of hers... now I'm back to my casual boycott 🙈"Red was always mine! Any reasons for the casual boycott? 😂 I wouldn't be a diehard fan but I wouldn't turn off her songs if they popped up
Aoife wrote: "Alyana, that's so cool!! How's the training going?."It's very good actually because I get to meet and listen to all the people behind the public library. Like there plenty of opportunities, just have to see which one I really like to do.
Aoife wrote: "Red was always mine! (plus I thought Midnights was a horrendous album with not a single even half-decent song and it annoys me how many people seem to think you're not allowed to dislike something an artist you like makes!!!) so now I just don't want her to show up in my spotify wrapped or anywhere near the top of my lastfm stats (which is what really matters to me) and I'm doing really well
Christene, can you please add All Systems Red to your wheel shelf (and double-check the edition page count)? Thanks :)

Do we think think this is a red cover or not?"
I agree with Aoife. It's borderline red..
my local library's online login system has been broken at least since Friday and I want to put a few holds on things and grab a couple of audiobooks and I just cannot get in!!! So frustrating, absolutely terrible timing right now
Oh hey they finally fixed it! They even had a notice on the website and everything and in Libby, I had to re-confirm my account by logging in again (they make me do that with that library all the time anyway, the login process is so strange)

I'm glad it's all fixed now. Also, I plan to read How to Walk Away for Austin, TX, but I saw in the SS that you're also reading it. Should I still read it?
Alyana wrote: "I'm glad it's all fixed now. Also, I plan to read How to Walk Away for Austin, TX, but I saw in the SS that you're also reading it. Should I still read it?"If you want to! We can always use more bonuses (red cover + cities) I'm like 60% through already, it's been a good afternoon for reading and it's a pretty quick read

Is it a good book? I might start it in a couple of days :)
Alyana wrote: "Is it a good book? I might start it in a couple of days :) "It's probably going to end up 3 stars for me.. I see why people generally love it, but I'm not sure if the tone works for me for the story it's telling... plus I'm generally not into super melodramatic (side) characters so those parts are making me grit my teeth
Judy wrote: "Oh, great news! I got picked for DQs for Starter Villain so that'll be a nice bonus for us 🥳"wohoo that's awesome!!
I finally finished another book (XOXO) and am questioning if I'll actually be able to finish my other two books still on the tracking ss but I'll definitely give it my best shot. Let's just hope I won't hate Puddin lol.

Funnily enough I was never following her enough to actually be interested in her full albums, and it took until 2020 for me to finally completely fall in love with one of them - evermore *sighs lovingly* Not to be dramatic, but nothing has been the same since lol.

One of my best friends LOVES her, so I ended up listening to TS a lot that way. Went to see her way back when I was in secondary school (I wanna say like 2012 or 2013 ish?) and she did put on a great show
Yup one of my closest friends from the Netherlands is a huge swiftie and I thought it'd be so special if I could be there for her experiencing seeing Taylor live - in this case for the second or third time as she'll see her in Amsterdam before we go to Gelsenkirchen together but anyway it'll happen and I even gifted the ticket to my friend for her birthday (this year and the next several to come lol) - luckily a German friend could secure tickets for the three of us, it was a hassle until she swooshed in and got tickets in the first 5 mins of the tix being live!! it was still very stressful though lmao

"We do currently have 11/10 claimed but in case someone doesn't finish theirs it's always good to have backups. It's definitely less pressure on me to finish my book in time, thanks Keli :D
Keli, while checking your shelf I saw you finished Starboard Secrets on Oct 21. Do you happen to remember if you finished it before or after the countdown to Round 2 hit 0?

My cousin is also going to Gelsenkirchen (and I assume several other people I know but I haven't heard them say it yet lol)

Christene, can you double-check the edition you've shelved for The Perfect World of Miwako Sumida? It doesn't match the page count on the spreadsheet
Judy wrote: "Christene, can you double-check the edition you've shelved for The Perfect World of Miwako Sumida? It doesn't match the page count on the spreadsheet"Done! Thanks
Christene Paula✨ wrote: "Round 3 bonus is hard, musical instruments on cover. Lol"Yep, that'll take some research 😬
I'll do a proper update probably tomorrow, my cousin and her kids are coming to visit tonight!
Well I've saved 3 on scribd which I will share later AND The Violin Conspiracy (BOM later this month) will work too if we finish it in time for this round!
Christina wrote: "Well I've saved 3 on scribd which I will share later AND The Violin Conspiracy (BOM later this month) will work too if we finish it in time for this round!"Ah yes, good reminder! Guess I will be picking that one up after all 😅
Thanks Judy! I'm still🤒🤧 and not getting better😢 🤣 or at least it doesn't seem like it. I haven't been down with a cold/allergies/sinuses/URTI in a LONG TIME! I just can't shake this! Lots of coughing, sneezing, wheezing, and congestion(head & chest).
Somebody may want to check the SS...I think one of my books--Changeless got added twice. R 224 and R 242

I was on a work trip this week and barely got any reading done as a result as I was talking to my colleague for six hours on the train instead of reading... but I've got the weekend off so I'm hoping to do a lottttt of catching up! I started Head Over Heels on a whim last night because it's got Hs and Os - really hoping this won't come to bite me next round if we'll need yellow covers or something 😅
Would love if everyone checked in with an update about what you're reading, I feel like we haven't heard from everyone this week yet!
