That does not sound like fun 😭 Ohh which packs did you get? I bought myself the university one a few years ago for my birthday for Sims 3. Sounds like you'll be busy for a while!! The most frustrating part of online shopping is the random difference in shipping prices :( fingers crossed you get the time over the next while to finish it off :D

I got myself the new Fire HD 10 which I thought I could use for looking for text in books lol.. But it's okay, I got it for a good deal and it's time also for an upgrade from my old tablet.

oh that's a pain :( at least you got a good deal! I'm surprised it's not on all models - very odd of Amazon!

I'll definitely share it when I'm done!! really hoping for Wednesday to Friday being chill so I can mayyyybe finish it!
Unfortunately not :( Amazon has different stores for the different regions in the world, and my Kindle stuff all runs on amazon.de, so they're not letting me access it through the US store 😡

I got the eco living & university packs (and also the laundry one, I love mundane stuff)... for now I've deactivated eco living and my sim that I want to send to university is still a child, so it'll be a few days before I'll send them off 😅
Right!! The most annoying part is that it added the tax of where my friend lives and wouldn't let me add a separate billing address (to either get it without tax or at least my correct one - which would've been more than Canadian tbh so I did get lucky there)... but it's still way cheaper than buying the fabric myself here soooo I'll take it
Judy wrote: "I'm busy losing my mind lol today has been another hell day at work... and after many years of not getting anything, I bought three (🙈) Sims expansion packs, a couple quilt and cross stitch pattern..."So proud of you for getting 3 Sims expansions haha!
EDIT: nvm you already answered which ones you got lol! I own the three of them as well :D I kinda love the laundry one, but I actually haven't used the washing machine/dryer in FOREVER since it used to be bugged, but they should have fixed it by now.... Just be prepared that washer/dryer might go up in flames 🙈

Customers in our restaurant talked about looking for a backpack on Friday which reminded me I had been thinking about getting one from got bag for a while now, but I got home from work pretty late and exhausted that night, then I couldn't decide which one to get and ended up too overwhelmed to buy one (or more) in the end lol. What. A. Mess. Luckily it turned out they're having the sale on for longer though - until the end of the month (according to google ads anyway) since it's their birthday/anniversary as well - even though they have/had a countdown clock on for EVERY SINGLE DAY which is annoying af because it's so misleading. frickin sale strategies,,,,
reading update: I've actually not felt like reading or listening (to anything at all really) because work, and life, and just no motivation, but then I really got into this (physical) book I started maybe two ROUNDS ago. About time too, but I just never take time to read books anymore, and I always lose focus... I also made a proper dent into Hidden Bodies tonight although I knowwww I should be focusing on Starter Villain which I have not opened up again since listening to Day 1 two or three weeks ago ugh. I still plan on finishing it before it hits the one month BOM mark though *fingers crossed*

it's very annoying the kindle stuff is locked per region :( so many books on the US version that aren't on the others, and I have to use either the UK or German version since Ireland doesn't have it's own but SO MANY things won't ship here so it's a pain looking through what you can actually get sometimes

The laundry one seems pretty fun lol I love the boring stuff in it. I have one game that's 4th gen now but the oldest is now a ghost and looks after the babies while the others go to work. I like watching the babies learn to walk!!
the price differences are wild sometimes :( it is handy tho having someone over there... one of my friends moved to Canada for work so I just send her the money for stuff and she has a little pile of things that either she or someone who visits her bring back lol
Christina wrote: "Aoife wrote: "How's everyone doing? Anyone get a deal over the weekend with the black friday/ cyber monday offers? I've been looking through BookBub to see what's going on offer on Amazon for kin..."
why do sites/companies do that!! It's really annoying trying to figure out when it's actually finished and half the time I never go back to check so I end up not buying them at all.

glad you found something to get into!! Sometimes life is just like that and it's hard to want to read
I finished Calypso, Corpses, and Cooking earlier but I didn't put in the sheet the text where the genre is found in the book. I only put in all the genres found but don't know which one to use. So caps, just let me know and I'll update the sheet. :)

Four more days in round 4! Getting close to the final round nowHow's everyone's reading coming on? I need to start Middlesex still but keep putting it off but at least I'm getting some O books in. Has anyone planned some books for the end of the week?
I'm hoping to get Ten Rules for Faking It finished tonight so I can focus on middlesex and then get A Visit from the Goon Squad done over the weekend. I'm home alone Friday night so I can hide myself away to read without anyone wondering if I'm just ignoring them lol
I just remembered that Murderbot has an O character, so I'll be reading System Collapse for sure today, also hoping to get The Opposite of Loneliness: Essays and Stories done today...Apart from that, I'm also making progress on Roller Girl and just need to focus on it for an hour or so to finish it.
I still need to make a call on whether I'll finish The Violin Conspiracy this round or next one
I feel like I could read something else but I haven't decided on a book yet... will try to get to something with a genre for bonus points though
If I can motivate myself to finish Starter Villain I will also squeeze in a re-listen of The Poet X for the bonus! And I will definitely finish we fell in love in october!
^ sped through The Poet X after work which means I took the last available merengue and now I'll go back to Starter Villain 🙃
Aoife wrote: "Every time i see merengue i think of meringue (food) and now I want some dessert lol"I know right!!!

might see if I can make it this weekend, I want to practice my pavlova again before christmas
I baked some Christmas cookies yesterday and when I wanted to put them into the tins we have for them, I found out three of them are stuffed with meringues my mom made so now idk where to put my cookies!!
What a shame. Just put the meringues in a parcel and send them to me and voila, you'll have lots of space for your Christmas cookies ;)

ohh totally forgot to mention I finally finished Starter Villain last night and also started and finished Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda for our last red cover and bluegrass today, yay!
Hey Team! Sorry I've been MIA. I was super busy during Thanksgiving with family, grandsons and house/dog sitting. I was supposed to be home on Monday but had a big set back with my health--☹ and didn't get home until last night!
I'm doing ok and have big plans of catching up over the next couple days!

I sure hope there's some O's in those big plans, Robin 😂 glad you're feeling better again though and hope you had a great time with your family!
Just remember to put all your finished books on our tracking sheet by 9pm uk time which is in about 43 hours from now! (countdown as always at the top of our ss)
Thank you Christene and Judy! I have some problems going on with my face/eyes swelling--eyes swelling completely shut-- which keeps me from driving,reading--seeing in general🤪 I have no warning--I just wake up like that. So I just roll with it and do the best I can! It's annoying more than anything.
At first it was scary because the first thing you do when you wake up is open your eyes🤣 and when you can't that's what is scary. But it's been going on now for several months so I've gotten used to it! Some days, I can get the swelling down within 15-30 mins, other days it may take hours or not at all. Some days it just one eye--mainly left--other days it is both. It's not really painful--sometimes it causes facial soreness -- it's more ANNOYING than anything along with sometimes blurry and double vision.
Thank goodness for audiobooks--especially on the days I can't get the swelling cleared up enough for reading a physical book🤣
I've finished all books I've been meaning to finish so far! And I'm going to finish The Violin Conspiracy today too 💪 I should be able to read one more book before the deadline but I can't decide what I want to pick up...
Judy wrote: "Ugh, that sounds awful! So scary when it's the eyes 😬"It's not pleasant by any means😒 but I've kind of gotten used to it. YES!!! It is scary when it's the eyes! I've seen a couple of drs and they think it's a combination of things causing it--allergies, permanent PHN(post herpetic nueralgia) from having facial shingles multiple times, and my thyroid disorders.
Oh Robin that doesn't sound pleasant glad to hear you're doing okay tho! I'd be terrified if I woke up and couldn't see 🫢
Judy wrote: "Oh man :( I hope you figure out something that helps soon!"Thank you! I'm working on it🙃 as it's happening more often than it was. So, just bear with me if I get a little behind posting my books...I will get it done, it just may take me a little longer than normal right now😅 I REFUSE to let this steal my joy and happiness--which is my reading and challenges !!
Aoife wrote: "Oh Robin that doesn't sound pleasant glad to hear you're doing okay tho! I'd be terrified if I woke up and couldn't see 🫢"Thank you! It's not pleasant by any means. When it first happened it was really scary. Thankfully, when it's both eyes, I can get around the house just by feeling my way through and my mom is here as well.
BUT she is legally blind, but still can see enough to help me--like get me warm compresses, heating pads, etc. She and I are literally "the blind leading the blind"🤦♀🙈

No problem, that's the most important thing! It's a game after all 😊 there's just the matter of that one deadline tomorrow 😉

At least you have help but that does sound like something from a comedy with the blind leading the blind 😅
Robin - could you check Velvet Was the Night for Tango and The Hacienda for baroque if you get a chance? Google or Amazon aren't helping for locations 😅 Could you also add Stamped Out to your shelf please? ☺️
Aoife wrote: "Robin - could you check Velvet Was the Night for Tango and The Hacienda for baroque if you get a chance?
