The books all follow a girl with two of her friends (i cannot remember any names). One book I specifically remember is the group accidentally ending up on s runaway train and they find a Native American who is helping them maybe get back home?
I want to say the title was possible “Lizzy and the Runaway Train” but I’ve searched that and have come up with nothing.
I don’t remember the name of the girl or her friends or the author.
