MountainKat | 31754 comments Here is your next task!

Task 4 - 12. Read a book recommended to you by a teammate - no pass for this task.

You can do the recommendations however you wish - to the group, to each individual, to the person below you on the list or ?? - it's up to you. If you want to provide a specific shelf to pick from, it needs to have a minimum of 10 books on it. Please include a link to the message with the recommendations in your completion posts.

message 112: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments How do we want to tackle this task? We can each post a few book recs to the group and then we pick from those? Or we could each post a picking shelf?

message 113: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2795 comments A picking shelf would be better I think. More choices..

Anything from my read 4 stars and above.

message 114: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments Vi wrote: "A picking shelf would be better I think. More choices..

Is this for us to pick for you? Or is this your recs to us?

message 115: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2795 comments It's my recs to both of you. This way, there's a bigger range for you to choose a book from my read shelf (books with 4 stars and above). I hope I'm clear?

message 116: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments Ok that makes sense 😊

message 117: by Breann (last edited Sep 30, 2023 01:54PM) (new)

Breann | 398 comments That makes it easy. I’ll do the same. My recs are from my read shelf 4 stars & up. I’ll edit this post with a link later today.

ETA: read shelf: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

message 118: by Breann (last edited Sep 30, 2023 02:08PM) (new)

Breann | 398 comments I'm going to read Eidolon from Vi's recommended shelf

message 119: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2795 comments I'll mostly be going with Smooth Talking Stranger. I'll confirm tomorrow once Kathryn checks in.

message 120: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kathrynr227) | 226 comments I'm going to read Reunion in Death from Breann's shelf.

My shelf is mostly filled with manga and stuff you've both already read. So, I think you both might want to just stick with the picks you chose already. LOL. I used to have an old Goodreads account, a long time ago, that had thousands of read books. Buuuut I ended up deleting that account. So, there's less than 300 on this one.

message 136: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kathrynr227) | 226 comments How close to done are you two? I was going to start another book, but if you two are close to done I'll probably wait until our next task.

That last book left such a BAD taste in my mouth. I hated it. I wanted to DNF it so many times. I'm stubborn and always have to finish a book, though. It's an annoying part of my personality. LOL.

message 137: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2795 comments I’m not close to done at all. Sorry, this is a slightly longer book so I’ll probably be done this time tomorrow.

message 138: by Vi (new)

Vi | 2795 comments And I. I’m sorry to hear the book was so bad. You need an awesome book after this.

message 139: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kathrynr227) | 226 comments Vi wrote: "And I. I’m sorry to hear the book was so bad. You need an awesome book after this."

No worries! That gives me time to read a palate cleansing book. LOL. I don't know how anyone enjoyed that book.

I'll go ahead and read another In Death book or something while I wait for you two to wrap up your current book. Obviously, no rush. xD

message 140: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments I’m only about 15% in. Hoping to finish tomorrow

message 141: by Breann (new)

Breann | 398 comments My book isn’t very good either :/ I’m remembering why I stopped reading this series before….. not my kind of humor.

Kathryn (kathrynr227) | 226 comments Breann wrote: "My book isn’t very good either :/ I’m remembering why I stopped reading this series before….. not my kind of humor."

I'm so sorry. I really, really hate when that happens.
I have a hard time with most fantasy/paranormal erotic romance novels. I know that a ton of people in these challenges read them.
I appreciate that they're quick, easy reads. However, most of them fall flat for me. There are a handful of women who I think do it phenomenally, and I can read their works like crazy, but most of them I have a hard time with.

Oh Breann, I get what you mean. I'm not a fan of this humor too. I've read them for challenges like Kathryn said but I've not always enjoyed it.
