SYNOPSIS:Avery teaches psychology and George, philosophy. At Avery's lecture on intimate relationships, George's interest is piqued when she describes obsession as one of the most deviant types. After the lecture, George approaches her. He proposes a game: he will make her obsessed with him. She thinks it's harmless flirtation. George tells Avery his conditions: spend 24 hours together, afterwards they must act as strangers when they encounter each other. Still believing George’s proposition a bluff, Avery agrees. After an incredible day together, George remains adamant about their deal. The weeks press on and Avery becomes more and more absorbed in the moments when she and George’s paths cross. George, keeping his deal, builds her desire through glances and moments of close proximity without acknowledging he knows her at all.
Early Reviews:
"Intriguing and Fun...This tale of seduction is intriguing, unsettling (in a good way), arousing and totally fun to read"
"An interesting short story of how obsession and infatuation plays out between two lovers. It was a very intriguing read, with a surprise ending. I enjoyed it very much, and would definitely recommend it to others. I look forward to more from this talented new author!"
"So Good...I was enraptured!"
"Author Rose Gluck successfully creates an atmosphere of intense thought and psychological manipulation that lead to all sorts of internal scrutiny that her character experiences in an intelligent and mature manner. This is a different kind of read, refreshing, and thought provoking. I highly recommend it."
"An unconventional romance between two academics. Touches of A.S.Byatt. Well defined characters and a good flow. An engaging read!"
