Please help me find the name of the book and author to this historical romance

Hello everyone!
I am hoping you can help me find this book, its really old, read it first time at least 10 yrs ago. I am pretty sure the hero of the book is called Simon, very unsure of his last name but Blackstone keeps popping up but I am really not sure. He returns to his home town after years as a knights Templar to confront his father who is Bishop I think or arch bishop I think Thurstan or Dunstan is his name. He happens upon a young woman name Linnette or Lynnette which he has history with (he cant remember because he was drunk) she ends up being accused of murdering his father.

I dunno if this is enough information but I hope it will ring a bell with someone!
