An Odd Undertaking

Hello, thank you for excepting me into your group. I am looking forward to spending more time here as time goes by.
Meanwhile, I'd like to tell you a little about my book... 'An Odd undertaking'. The inspiration to write my book really comes from other people's curiosity and intrigue about the subject of death and the funeral business. Questions I would be asked when people found out that I was an undertaker, and their desire to hear all about my adventures. That morbid fascination that our species seems to possess. Having decided to actually write my story, I wanted it to be as much about the journey of life, as it is about my experiences as an undertaker. About family, friendships, and the weird and wonderful characters that we share this rather unpredictable journey with. I wanted it to be an entertaining and mostly humorous read whilst retaining the respect and solemnity that the subject of death deserves - to be interesting and factual - to quell misunderstandings - and occasionally to be a little thought provoking. Going by reviews I have had so far and feedback from my readers, I feel I have achieved exactly what I set out to do.
