Hi everyone! It'd be super cool to share our fave reads of the challenge and what task we read it for. I always come away from this challenge wondering what books people managed to find for some of the harder challenges so if you're also curious, feel free to ask about one of the tasks and lets see what books people came up with!

Ilsen | 516 comments My favorite was Garlic and the Vampire and I used it for the task for a book starting with the same first letter as one of our teammates. I loved it so much that I bought the sequel the next day! It was so cute and cozy!

Patricia Mae (patriciaflair) | 161 comments A lot! I enjoyed most of the books I read for the August challenge and I've read a lot of books for the Challenge:)

CraftyChara | 436 comments My top three reads are Me and Sam-Sam Handle the Apocalypse(97) Wink (OG15, BT1) and The Unforgettable Logan Foster (OG41, 80)

Task 61 Rainbow cover. I wanted to read The Splintered Light but my library lost it's copy 😭
So tried to get Rainbow Grey coulnd't get it either (it's been a month and I'm still waiting.) So a teamate recommend My Little Pony: Beyond Equestria: Rainbow Dash Rights the Ship

I originally read The Last Kids on Earth for task 97 apocalypse but it said The end? At the end so I switched it for task 100. We were having trouble with that one 😁.

Some Tasks I could find a whole bunch for them while others I could only find one book. Sugar and Spite for Task 73 More then one alchemy making scence.

Lynn (ftbooklover) | 615 comments I really liked Measuring Up and Sheets. Both of them tackled some heavy topics but in a way that was entertaining and palpable for young people.

Ilsen | 516 comments Omg I love Sheets so much!! One of my all time favorite graphic novels! I read it for the 2021 Middle Grade Madness challenge and I loved it so much that I read the sequel. I liked the sequel but not as much as the first one. I am excited for the third one coming out this year though!!

Dana Cristiana (silvermoon1923) | 313 comments I totally loved the Amulet series by Kazu Kibuishi (I only read books 1-6 during the challenge), especially these 5 stars:
The Last Council (Amulet, #4) by Kazu Kibuishi The Last Council (task 19);
Escape from Lucien (Amulet, #6) by Kazu Kibuishi Escape from Lucien (BT7).

I also loved the following books (in order of reading):
The Longest Night of Charlie Noon by Christopher Edge The Longest Night of Charlie Noon by Christopher Edge (task 13);
The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate (task 64);
The Mozart Girl by Barbara Nickel The Mozart Girl by Barbara Nickel (task 11);
Rainbow Grey by Laura Ellen Anderson Rainbow Grey by Laura Ellen Anderson (task 61).

But besides two books that were mediocre / okay-ish, the rest were amazing, too!

Mostly they were 4-5 star reads.
And 18 books it's the best I read this year (in a month).

Thank you all for the challenge and I'm looking forward to next year.

Lynn (ftbooklover) | 615 comments I was surprise that Sheets was such a fun read, but also covered such serious topics.

Audrey (niceyackerman) | 454 comments I really enjoyed Call of the Wraith and Flyte, which were up-next-in-the-series books, and I expected to enjoy them. They fit a lot of characters but I used them for 9+ Letter Name and Green Writing.

I re-read a couple favorites, Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians and The Whispering Skull.

The Longest Night of Charlie Noon was a pleasant surprise. It was very good. It fit a lot of categories and I used it for Head Injury, I think.

The Land of Roar (Fraternal Twins) was quite charming.

I Want to Go Home! was a lot of fun. I don't remember where that ended up. And Dark Life (Apocalypse Scenario) was a pleasant surprise.

I did not care for Bridge to Terabithia but I hadn't expected to like it anyway.

AurorainBookland | 734 comments Please don't tell my parents I'm a supervillain by Richard Roberts (C10 task 50 protagonist who is a villain) 4 stars planning on getting book 2 sometime

Squished: a graphic novel by Megan Wagner Lloyed (category 20 task 98 a character who says "goodbye" before they leave and don't return) this was a bonus book I was reading it in September anyway.
