SOLVED. YA/MG Fantasy book about kids who find a particular (potentially haunted) doll in a museum/display

Hello! I've been able to eventually find every other book I can remember the plot of on my ongoing quest to catalogue every book I've ever read, but this one is stumping me. I don't remember very much about the plot, mostly just the cover--it was a cool-toned cover with a number of dolls in a display, one of which was a fancy girl doll that...may have been glowing sort of like a ghost? There may also have been some kids with surprised expressions in front of that display.

As for the genre, in all honesty, I don't recall whether it was a ghost story or just a mystery. My inclination is to say a ghost story, but my attempts to look up haunted doll-related stories have been pretty fruitless. It was likely middle grade but potentially young adult. My inclination is also to say that it was set in a doll museum, but it could be I'm misremembering and the doll was just at a store on display with many other dolls. I feel like it may have been an old doll and somehow the kids learned more about the story of the kid who owned it or something in the past, but that may be completely inaccurate.

I read it in the early 2000s--probably around 2004-2006--but I think from the art I remember it was older. 1990s or 1980s at oldest, probably? The art style was, I believe, pretty similar to those 1980s ghost books like the ones by Mary Downing Hahn.

My apologies that this is so vague! My memory for books is usually pretty good, but I only read this one once...Thank you for any help!

Oh, shoot! I actually just managed to find it in a last-ditch effort at looking through goodreads lists on childrens' ghost fiction! Sorry, but I figured I'd add it here in case it was useful to anybody.
