The book is about 7 or 5 teenagers and set in NYC. All the kids go to a private school. They are orphans and this lady takes care of them she gave each kid a power. All the powers have a bad side effects but the kids don’t know about each others side effects. The lady somehow feeds off the kids but they don’t know that either I don’t think. 2 of the girls I believe are sisters one is more quiet but very smart and knows a lot of languages the other is very beautiful but her bad side effect is that she smells really badly because her insides are decaying. They live in a house that doesn’t really physically exist I think it’s like magic and it moves with them. The lady who is their caretaker is like evil. The cover of the book is all the teenagers in black tie attire standing on a grand staircase staring out at you. I think the beautiful girl is in like a silk dress and she has blonde hair.
