I only remember three of the main characters: I believe their names were Maya, Jo (?), and Caitlyn. One of these characters had a mom who passed away (I think it must have been Caitlyn’s), and I remember a book where they roller skated together at Rockefeller Center or somewhere similar. I know it was set in New York. If anyone happens to know which book series I’m talking about, that would be appreciated!

Oh wait, one of the characters wasn’t named Jo; her name was Joy.
Never mind, I found the series. Three Girls in the City series by Jeanne Betancourt.
