Fictionpress and fanfiction.net. These are the first sites I found and they are really simple to use.
I don't use any sites like those to post my writing. I'll sometimes post bits on my blog (on Blogger, but it comes through Goodreads too, since I set up the feed). But mostly my writing is only available for people to read after it's published.

Fanfiction.net and DeviantART. God I HATE how DeviantART makes you have to do this or anything else before you post it. dA gets everything LAST because I HATE doing the coding! It can take me HOURS!
Oh lol! I just posted almost the same topic at another group! I go to fictionpress and authonomy myself, and sometimes wattpad. I haven't tried posting on the other sites people mentioned though, so I just might soon! :3
I've never used Wattpad. I've read some stories from there that have been published, but I've never done much more than that.
fanfiction.net gets all my fanfic stories, even though I know now that there are supposedly "better" places to post fanfics nowadays.I haven't used fictionpress in a few years but I did like them; same formatting ff.net had, so I was used to it. I actually haven't posted any original stuff in a long time because I always want it to be *finished* when I post it online, and everything I've started has generally wound up in the bin due to crappy plots and such.
NaNoWriMo's website has some of those aforementioned original writings, but I try to forget about them every year when I start something new ;) lately I've taken to keeping my original stuff saved on the computer and just emailing it to friends when they ask to read it.
LITLIFT IS A GIFT FROM THE GODS. It's not to publish your writing online but it's an AMAZING place to organize your ideas. Y'all should check it out:) my link text

I love Fanfiction.net, I haven't written and fanfiction yet but I have several ideas floating around in my notebook. What is your pen name on FF? I will check out some of your writing.

I was just curious which sites does everyone prefer to show off your writing? I know Kindle just started one called Write On Kindle. There is also the writers coffee shop and wattpad that I know of as well as here on goodreads that you can post items you have written to get feedback and to share. So which ones do you prefer and why?
