Francesca Bickley | 1 comments I read this book in the UK in the early 90s, it was a picture book about a child who had some negative emotion (I think worries or anger or sadness) and sat in a window with an adult (possibly mother or grandparent) and blew the bubbles out of the window to blow the feelings away. I have been searching for this book for years to no avail!

Can you describe the style of the illustrations? Cartoonish? More detailed? Boy or girl child?
And the tone of the book? Soothing and serious, or funny and flippant?
I had a quick look and it's a tough one to find! Anything more about the story? Does the bubble-blowing scene come right at the conclusion, or is it an on-going theme (multiple pages, etc.)?
I know it's hard to remember. But some things stick!

We have a list for Picture Books about Bubbles. It's only got 5 books in it. I'll be adding more momentarily...: https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
(just FYI - if you look at the ones I've 'voted' for, I've ruled those ones out. Some promising titles, but, nah).

SBC (essbeecee) | 1594 comments Thanks for adding to the list, Capn! I started it when I saw Francesca's query, then promptly got distracted and forgot all about it! I'll add some more to it as well - I know I found some books that seemed likely, but they were all too recent. I think blowing bubbles to blow away feelings is a common taught technique for anxiety these days, but it sounds like your book, Francesca, was ahead of its time!
