This novel is so multi-layered! Yet, it fits together seamlessly, even as new characters are added.

My brain is never going to be the same after exposure to Lacuna's Point.😯

I just started reading this morning. At the 4% point where Part One starts. I really like that this started out with a description of the town itself that became progressively odd as it proceeded. Great way to foreshadow.
Also the opening prologue (view spoiler)[where Dawn and Kyra become "engulfed" in the mesmerism (hide spoiler)] is a real grabber.

Why, after the prologue, is it written in present tense?
Does kind of make it seem like something is always about to happen... more stressful, I suppose (which is good!)

Just started it today, and am loving it so far. I love that the parents are going after the girls. That's not a perspective you see often!
