15% and this story starts out with a JUMP!

Jasmine | 18 comments I’m 70% into my ebook, I’ll probably finish this tonight.

Erika | 475 comments What inspired the clock being named Eddy? I was guessing it might be random since the neighborhood is described as something like what you see in Edward Scissorhands....

on page 375 in ebook currently

Erika | 475 comments Are you a fan of the old Time Machine movie? This scene spooked me as a child when my dad introduced me to it! Lol

Hey Erika! The Edward Scissorhands reference is a good call because the neighborhood definitely has that vibe. But Eddy actually came from a water eddy - a spiral or vortex - and that's how I pictured the layout of the town when things started to change geographically. The novel was actually titled EDDY'S POINT in its early stages!

Oh wow! That's a good comparison! Definitely a spooky scene. Never actually saw this film, but I'm gonna have to watch it now!

Hayley | 82 comments Just finished this morning! I love the body horror and the way the cosmic horror played out as well. I loved the ending and just wondered, (view spoiler) Just some post-book musings.

This was a blast, and I've followed you on my e-reader shop, Tim, so I can get your other books as well!

Thanks for reading, Hayley! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. As for your interpretation of the ending, I would say you're exactly right!

That scene also reminded me of that movie. When the Morlocks call, you must answer. . . . .

Right on, Michael! ......., you must, indeed

Michael J. (michaeljclarke) | 634 comments Now into Part 3 at the 57% mark. Stranger and stranger, weirder and weirder. I like the mystery and hoping it all gets explained before it ends.

Michael J. (michaeljclarke) | 634 comments I just finished this evening. Wow, the last part of this moves rather quickly and I just had to finish it. Tim, your version of cosmic horror finally won me over. Great job!
