TBR: Digging Up Love (MC is a dessert chef!) Sounds good!
NEW: Nuts (MC is a chef/food on cover) Come on.. that cover??? Whew… Actually this was a fun series.


3. September 8th: National Ampersand Day
TBR: The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy (MC owns business with ampersand in title!) Have this on my TBR too
NEW: Dark, Witch & Creamy (ampersand symbol) Not nearly as trashy as the title suggests, but still a fun mystery read!


4. September 12th: National Video Games Day
TBR: River of Shadows (Paranormal)
NEW: Kitty and the Midnight Hour (Paranormal) This one gets mixed reviews, but I found I liked it and have continued the series.


5. September 16th: National Play-Doh Day
TBR: Love in the Big City (colorful cover)
NEW: Breathing Room (colorful cover) Reminds me a little bit of Under the Tuscan Sun!


6. September 19th: Talk Like a Pirate Day
TBR: Dauntless (historical)
NEW: The Layover (tropical setting/water on cover)


7. September 25th: National Comic Book Day
TBR: Raiders of the Lost Heart (cartoonish cover) Sounds fun!
NEW: Well Met (cartoonish cover, US setting)


8. September 29th: National Women’s Health & Fitness Day
TBR: Bombshell (woman on cover/corset) Love this author!
NEW: Silent in the Sanctuary (woman on cover/corset) Saw you read the first one so I’m recommending the next in the series. I enjoyed this whole series

2. Someone in the story enjoys eating dessert- A Study in Scarlet Women NEWish. To be honest, I can't tell if you read this. It came up when I searched for it, but didn't have a rating and I don't know how to tell which shelf it's on at that point. The term "maximum tolerable chins" will come up in this series.

If you read that one, I'm reading An Earl to Remember and the MC is a chef. I was trying not to repeat from my other picks. This is OVERBOARD (movie) re-telling, though, and I want everyone to read it.

I read Digging Up Love from a debut author. It has a lot of good topics. For instance the MC has grown up with her white grandparents in a small town. The hero comes from a blue collar family and they don't understand his academics lifestyle. Although this did focus on the development of their relationship, it also focused a lot on their individual lives and challenges. As a result, it was a tad longer than I prefer. I hope in the future, we get some steamy scenes from this author. Thanks for the pick, Sonja!
