here's the basics of it.

Main Characters: Bonne Monroe and Hanako Suzuki
Genre: Romance
Subgenre: Young Adult and Contemporary Romance
Trope: Language Barrier
Setting: NYU
Themes: Misogyny, feminism, love is love
Word Goal: 50k
Chapters: 30

I have the first chapter and epilogue down, but I'm struggling to get the rest of it. the plot is: Hanako comes to the Monroe home as a transfer student. She and Bonne don't speak the same language, so the story is basically about them trying to communicate and falling in love despite the circumstances. Bonne's parents are homophobic and misogynistic, so the story is also about Bonne overcoming that. But I'm really struggling to get words down on the page.

Thanks so much, lots of love,
Eirene

Tianna | 34 comments I would start brainstorming the basic plot points like: how did the two meet? Any initial challenges in getting along? What do they like about each other? Put them in a difficult situation and figure out how they respond or escape. Hope that helps :)
