YA Romance and Dystopian book (potentially in a series) where society is largely reliant on tech, and books are mostly banned. She goes on the run, meets a boy and ends up joining the rebellion he is apart of. Read 2012-2016.

A more fleshed out version of the title. I think they have chips or something in their eyes, as the heroine is able to check her messages and the news using just her retina. I think she witnesses a death or something dodgy carried out by the government. She then goes on the run and meets the guy who becomes the love interest and lives off the grid. He helps her escape, but they become fugitives. At one point they are on a train thanks to fake IDs but have to get off as a security guard starts chasing them. They meet a resistance group that is hiding in a library and decide to help them, the plan is to use bombs to blow up an important government meeting. It does not go as planned. At some point the guy gets caught and is sent to this crazy secure prison that I think is in the sea? The heroine helps break him out. That’s all I can really remember at the moment, hopefully it helps someone remember this book, I’d love to read it again. Thanks

I think I read it between 2012 and 2016? That’s just a bit of an estimate though since I cannot remember the actual year.
