I love the TV show.
I just started reading the series, because my niece really loves it. I was a little meh because of the mixed reviews.
but ....
yeah I don't like the book. I've just finished book 1, and I didn't like Belly one bit. she was annoying, and it felt like being in a head of a immature 10 year old girl. everything felt rushed so I didn't get why she had the feelings she had for the boys. but it was a quick read, that's the best I can say about that book.
so to sum up, I would not recommend.

See, I couldn't stand Belly because she was mostly concerned with herself and HER romance instead of the other things going on around her, INCLUDING Conrad and Jeremiah

I was really hyped for the books cause of the show. But-(i think this is the first time i ever said it)- the show is way better imo.
