Samantha Jayne | 3 comments I read this collection of short stories repeatedly in the early '80's and I think it was probably published in the early '70's or before but I was 12 so I can't be sure. It had a vintage feel even then though.

It was a mixed collection of sci-fi short stories but Telestasis is the only specific title I remember. It related to a growing psychic world-wide connection that left those trapped in it helpless physically, and mentally swirling in the telestasis - everyone is aware of the telestatis on the edge of their consciousness and if they engage, they're drawn in.

(spoiler alert) One guy loses a girlfriend? wife? to the telestasis, taps into it in a different way, and changes the status into something for the benefit of mankind.

Any help gratefully received!

Thank you

Samantha Jayne | 3 comments You are my actual hero.

That's the very one!

10 points and a banana my friend, I genuinely thought this was an impossible ask and to get an answer so quickly is amazing.

I even remember the cover now.

Thank you!!

Please don't create a new thread to thank someone for finding your book. It creates more work for the mods and is unnecessary.

Samantha Jayne | 3 comments My apologies, I misread the instructions for action once a book was found and created a new thread instead of editing the original one to mark it as solved.
