The rest is a bit uncertain as we are soon off to our summer travels and that will be the point where my reading becomes even more erratic than it currently is.
Will check on assassin tags.
I've found one that'll cover black cover & assassin task, which I can do next after my current book.

I'll grab it if there's nothing else, but I have no money to spend on books right now (seriously... I have less than £5 to my name!)

if we are OK with it sitting there for a while, I think have one in my kindle somewhere, but I'm prioritising hard countries for my team

DRAGON KING OF ARMS
1. 500 to 650
2. Text mentiones a heraldic beast (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categor... )
3. a character gets poisoned
4. letters GOLEM in title
5. a family tree is included in the book

There was also a hunting scene which mentioned hounds (heraldic beast), but I'd have a very difficult time this far past it trying to figure out a quote or even which chapter it was!
Also works for poisoning and title.
There is a lot of waffle about family trees and lineages, but again, audio only means there isn't an actual one.
I'll finish within the next couple of hours.
Well I finished the black assassin book and spun us
Dale Pearson (The Stupidest Angel)
1 100-150
2 "ikea" in text
3 ":" in title
4 tagged "fluff" (at least 10 times)

I'm grabbing the ":" task though.

yeah, but nooooooo! I don't like the ":A Novel"
but! never fear, it means I can put Challenger: A True Story of Heroism and Disaster on the Edge of Space in that task :)

A fiction book by Dan Jones Mel. Not bad, but I prefer his non-fiction. His characters were a little meh. given a bit more experience, he could become a pretty good HF writer though, I think.
At least he's got the historical accuracy thing going for him 😆

ok, no probs

Thank you for the heads-up, Sammy. :))
When I've run out of his nonfic books I may try Essex Dogs, but I'm in no hurry about it. :))

Carbuncle
1 200 to 299
2 set in South or Central America
3 Something metal on cover
4 "ruby" or "garnet" in text
5 "bi" in title (can be in a word like big or birds)

Anders Lindbäck (Sweden)
1 100 to 175
2 Takes place in Northern Europe (Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark)
3 MC does something for the first time
4 Plot involves financial concerns (your interpretation)
5 40 in page count

Beartown (read book 1 only) already started pushing the limits for me, but this one pushed me so much further.
I understand that the world's an ugly place, everyone is nasty, a lecher, a paedophile, an abuser, a rapist, a killer, etc, but FB uses a cudgel now on all pages and hits you on the head with it in case you didn't get it on all previous ones.
In Ove & Brit-Marie he was more subtle about these issues, as far as I remember (need to reread them).

If the new one is worse than beartown, I'll be sure to be in the right mood before I pick that one up!

Mutant Spiders
1 100 to 175
