Hopefully the UK one will have another sale soon. I'm getting itchy scratchy and need to buy books! (not that I'm allowed to, but meh... 😆)

A Toast to the Old Stones: A Tale from Kinloch made me LOL several times. Thank you Scotland task! 😆

So, I finished Brotherless Night. currently in for a page count task, but could push Sophie's "The White Castle" for Historical Fiction out to finish a set?
Thoughts? Don't want to go unilaterally, as I am scarred from fall out of that in TT teams!

right! I switched for a new spin:
John Julian (South America)
1 100 to 175
2 Takes place in South America
3 Tagged indigenous 10 or more times
4 published in March
5 author or character named John or Julian
Open Tasks
MPG Vampires (Vlad)
tagged dragon 10x (Vlad)
MPG Pirate (Barbarossa)
350 to 450 (Ms Snek-Hair)
takes place in a desert (Ms Snek-Hair)
Mirror on cover (Ms Snek-Hair)

I'm currently reading a book set in Argentina, but it doesn't fit for anything else, so I won't hog anything yet :)

Just to be perfectly clear for future situations as far as I'm personally concerned: it is always ok to boot me out of a spot if you have something that will finish a set.
Even if I'm reading something specifically for a task, it won't normally taske me much more than a day, so I don't feel like I'd lose out much if it gets (re)moved (much more of an issue for slower readers, I imagine!).
I don't expect everyone else to feel the same - I know I read faster than most - but just wanted that out there so folk don't feel they need to hesitate if I'm in a spot they can use 😉
I'm chilled when it comes to my books being moved. I know I'm not the fastest reader here, but I get to chat with you all and my books are used often enough that I won't be upset.

Black Caesar (Florida)
1 500 to 650
2 Takes place in Florida
3 Author born in Africa (any country)
4 color word in title
5 Author first or last name starts with C

And of course I just read the only Florida book on my TBr a couple of weeks ago. 🙄

The vast majority of them were to cover a challenge task, and the majority of those were for this particular challenge 😆
Basically everything I ever read on kindle unlimited was challenge related!
You've taken it to an extreme on the percentage of your books for a year though!

I've got a Florida one but it might take me a while, so I ly let me read for it if you aren't in a rush.

Although the less said about the quality of some of those books, the better 😂
There are books with X authors or titles that I don't think should be published, but have been read and the later books in the series seriously considered.
Nothing will top intergalactic space detective or whatever nonsense it was though.

I'm trying to cut down on the number of them, but I'm a sucker for seeing a task that has been left lingering for a while and deciding that it must be read for!

Francis Fernando (Jamaica/Caribbean)
1. 350 to 450
2. Takes place in Caribbean
3. Author initials in "Nuestra Señora de Belén"
4. cover >50% teal
5. two word title

First I need to finish 2 other books, but can read this one afterwards if there are no other contenders.
I think it's teal, and just 50% :)
I don't think I've anything sooner. Got 3 books left in my TT cap, 3 books being currently read. Happily they are all longer ones, and I'm busy this weekend - Pulp on Friday night then back to my sister's for the weekend :)

I wanted to give Mariana Zapata a very last try with a kindle version instead of audio, but I find I'm bored out of my wits and I'm just not in the mood for 500+ pages of self-indulgence & bad wish-fulfilment writing.

Elizabeth Bathory (Hungary/Slovakia)
1 350 to 450
2 takes place in Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, Poland or Czech Republic
3 Female or non-binary author
4 BLOOD BATH (any order) found in title and/or series name
5 Folklore tagged 5 or more times
