Domi keeps reading out excerpts for my benefit and laughs out loud at them. 🥰

Hungry Grass
1. 100 to 175
2. MC mentions being hungry or finding food is important to the plot
3. Title starts with letter in GRASS
4. Someone finds a corpse
5. Tagged Fae (at least 10 times)

I'll try to check in on my phone if I gvet the chance, and I'll let you guys know if I happen to finish anything that fits.
If I don't speak to you all before though, have a fantastic Christmas!

❄️🎄⛄🥰
Enjoy Scotland, Sammy!
On 28 Dec we'll be travelling to Prague and stay until the New Year.

Nevertheless, I'm adding it to that spot as I will finish it still this year (or intend to anyway). 😉
amazing! love how we are ticking through these tasks.
I started my tagged Jewish today; it's a quick one so will probably be done tonight

Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of it soon, as I have a couple I'd like to finish before the new year!

I managed to finish a shorter book just before Xmas (that fits exactly nowhere, lol) and made a little progress with MPG War & the 651+ but at a very leisurely pace.
We'll be travelling to Prague tomorrow by train and I'm hoping to make some progress on the 6.5-hour journey. :)
well, I realised that I could fill in the shortie space with the St Mary's Xmas story, so that has dispatched the Hungry Grass.

I'm about to finish soulminder which will work for 4.
Having a debate with myself - I'm 16 books short of my reading goal this year. If I add the picture books I've read the kids I can easily meet it, but feels a bit like cheating!

Tagged heroine 5 times or more is frustrating. Slave to Sensation has tags for virgin-heroine, strong-heroine and kickass-heroine that meet the tag number.

we could go ask the hive mind if there's some flex there for the embedded to work, rather than the exact match?

huzzah!
huzzah!

May have been just a smidge burnt out 😆
semi agree, but also immediately leapt onto UNO pre-register!
I'll be switching the skull book around - I've stalled on Company of Liars, but have one that I'll finish later that works.

I've already dropped a few individual challenges to try and get my updating after each book down to under half an hour (last Easter with the HOB easter egg hunt and water balloon wars - lots of bonus points for cross-posting to other challenges - it took me around 90 minutes for each book!).

Also The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, which is mostly set in Ny, but has some Prague in there too.
Both 4 star reads for me.
I was trying to think of any, and did a quick search to jog memory, and would add Daughter of Smoke & Bone, which has a good flavour of it before it goes bonkers portal fantasy fun.
Apparently A Perfect Spy is (partially) Prague set and good spy fodder

oh, and finished the skull book!
does someone else want to spin, rather than risking my peculiar genius?!

Nero (Italy / Rome)
1 350 to 450
2 takes place in Italy
3 tagged political 10x
4 MC plays a musical instrument
5 fire on cover

Already read Daughter of Smoke and Bone and agree that it's a pity it went down the slippery slope of ya.
Also read Hrabal, although I just realised that I've never marked it as read here on GR.

I see that The Corrections also fits the page count for the Dragon Queen.
You could move it there and have that one finished off.
I'm only at 35% of Caprice and Rondo. I'm sure it'll fit somewhere else later.

Mr Pin & Mr Tulip
1 200-299
2 Flower (can be the word flower or a specific type) in the title
3 POTATO in text
4 tagged Journalism at least 5x
5 character visits an art exhibition or has a profession related to the fine arts

😅
