Not a problem, I've been wanting to read The Plague, but had to finish off the final books for another challenge first (got done last night), so can get it done tomorrow.Now Cat, what is the use of having mods on the team if we don't get inside information like that? 😂

So... I have a problem... I am not in a reading mood... sometimes it happens... so I think I'm going to take down my claimed book... And if I manage to pick up a book... which I haven't... I'll check if there is a task it will fit.
I am happy to say that I am absolutely enjoying Niccolò Rising. Thought I'd be bored by all the details on trade, etc, but on the contrary, I am fascinated by it all. I haven't really connected to the characters and I don't think this series will ever pack the emotional punches of the Lymond books for me, but I absolutely want to go on with Book 2. 😊

Actually I wanted to read Book 2 in this series some time anyway, so might as well read this one, too. :)
The audio was soooooooooooo bad! 🥴I read both of them (was kinda forced to for another challenge) and they were both ok. Really not my cup of tea, and the historical inaccuracies made me want to trow things, but as far as such books go, certainly not even close to the worst I've read, lol.
As far as I can tell people who enjoy this kind of book and can cope with historical "oopsies" love it, so I'm guessing it'll do well as the BOM.

Meh. I'm still on the opinion that those should be allowed here.. we had black dagger brotherhood buddy reads in here, and Lisarenee was the mod leader at the time. Yes, we didn't have a backroom sister group... and yes, books like cut & run are way to graphic to have here... but regency? Oh well.

I've not read that one yet, but I have the kindle version, so will have to see if I can get to it in time... Quite a few print books lined up right now (though I may just postpone Starling House a couple of weeks, which will free up some time... 🤔)
I realised that apart from The Moon-Spinners all my upcoming books are either kindle or print versions, so I used my remaining audible credit for
that has horns on it. If anyone finishes another horn(y)-book sooner, just delete it from the spot. 😊

We didn't settle for the date. I need to get to 38% of Starling House now b/c of DQs (and the beginning is not very auspicious), but happy to start on the GGM book afterwards. Any time after 3 June suits me. :)

I have The 10 thousand doors Book by her on audio, but haven't listened to it yet, so this is my first book by her. So far it's reads like a rather typical, bleak ya-fantasy...

Most people loved that one. I really didn't. (didn't hate it quite as much as Addie Larue, but it's up there, lol)I just have really weird tastes in YA books. Mostly I don't like them, so don't take my word for it! 😆
