Might be short story, read it for English class around 2010, the story felt pretty serious, definitely fiction, everything seemed to always go wrong in the book, definitely a depressing kind of book, the kid called his brother dodo, don't think it was his real name, pretty sure dodo dies falling from a barn, maybe during a storm, I think the brother is always messing with dodo
