I’ve not read any more yet. I’m at Chapter 16, but this book is hardcore, and I’ve read some extremely bleak and horrendous books, but as Matt says at the beginning of the book, this is his most controversial one yet.

Like when Gloria and Hugh discuss the tightness of young kids. This was right out of my book Leeanne. When my daughter read something similar that I wrote she thought I was nuts. I was trying to explain to her how sick and so very selfish pedophiles actually are. I also think he knows depravity and deviancy very well. The cleaning of the sex toys happens more than once. Like wow.
I am at 20 and you are not going to like it. This book is going to play with my mind tonight. I was always looking for true horror and it has been delivered............. be careful what you wish for I guess

Yes I agree with you D about Hugh and Gloria being like Fred and Rose West. I thought The Groomer was tough, and The Girl Next Door, but this is next level...and I worked in Children’s Services for 14 years, and saw a lot of shitty things 😢

yeah, it really is a shocker. I finished the next one after the hub called Kids. It was also pretty shocking, but great aswell!
Yeah can’t wait to read ‘Kids’, though I think I’ll have a break in between these...this book makes me feel as though I’ve done a few cycles on a washing machine...I’m exhausted 🤣
This story is very chocking, but I think there’s more to it. The characters are well developed. They are evil. I’m agreeing with you Leeanne, it’s more disturbing and intense than the Groomer.
