Large velobind book - different color sections - natural living

I recall a book from my childhood that was something similar to Foxfire but more of a Whole Earth type of book. It was velobound and about 3-4” thick with different colors of paper used per section.

It had information on planting crops, forming a political party, making pottery, recipes, and the like.

I can’t recall it very well but it felt very co-op.

What is a "Whole Earth" type of book?

When was your childhood (i.e. when did you encounter the book) and where were you? If it was co-op, it might be only locally printed (?) so knowing your location at the time might help narrow it down.
