Up to chapter 6 so far. Going good. Few things happened.

Up to chapter 11. Poor Richard... So much pain...

Up to chapter 18. So much hate between people plus Dark Sisters between Sisters of Light... Kahlan is going through hell to save Richard's life and many more. Richard is sure she betrayed him... Hope all will be ok... In some point soon...

Up to chapter 27. Nasty 'rats' scene behind me... Someone will pay for it I think.. Kahlan will not leave this easily... Poor Queen Cirilla...

Feeling lonely here reading it by myself.... Reached half of the book. Both Kahlan and Richard going through physical and mental hell literally.

Up to Ch. 2... Rachel is so adorable!!! I wish her dad had not ignored her when she warned him about that scary monster creature - Screaling...

Richard doesn't know yet he is the Wizard's grandson and a Raul...

Up to Ch. 6... That dude seer, who is kept by the Sisters, had some pretty horrible visions of the future involving Kahlan and Richard...

Up to Ch 17... Wow! There are a ton of Sisters of the Dark among the Sisters of Light... The way that one Dark Sister made (view spoiler)[ one of the Wizards to kill the other in order to pledge to the Dark was horrible! I already hate them with passion! And I have a feeling that they will turn the young Sister to the Dark Side too...

I also feel for Kahlan, but I am kind of pissed at Richard. Everyone and everything was telling him not to call the spirits, but no, he thinks he always knows best, and now everything is in peril, Dana took his mark and is going to Hell instead of him to be tortured and Dark Raul is free... Richard was right when he came back to consciousness - he is stubborn and stupid!!! I also hate how obsessed R+K are with one another, when they should be thinking about all the stuff going on around them...

Shota's prediction that if they have a child it would be a boy, and he will grow up to be a confessor with the gift, which will make him a tyrant and bring in a new dark age, are very scary.... I would make sure I don't have kids if I were in their place... (hide spoiler)]

I just finished Ch. 27 too... How many horrible things could possibly happen in one book???? And where are the good things for balance? This is making me depressed!!! (view spoiler)[ First Margaret got cut down in half by the Sisters of Dark, while being betrayed by her husband!!! Her words for asking forgiveness from the Lord of Light just broke my heart!!! Where are the Lord of Light's creatures, like angels and such? We see all types of creatures of Hell, where are the ones from Heaven?? If anyone deserved some help from the Light, it was sister Margaret!!!

Then the betrayal, the rats and the rape of Queen Cyrilla!!!! WTF?!?!? That was just despicably horrifying!!!

And now this town, which citizens have been raped, tortured and killed for who knows what reason!!! This is really starting to bring my spirit down! We need something good to be happening!!!! (hide spoiler)]

Up to Ch. 43... (view spoiler)[ Kahlan is awesome in charge of the young baby army! She was merciless, but glorious!!! Love her when she is by herself, because alone she is smart, and brave, and decisive. But when Richard is around, she gets all silly and lovestruck, and it's all about him... I prefer them apart, when it comes to getting things done.

I am so upset that they didn't meet with Zed when he was stopped with his carriage. I am also upset that they didn't find Queen Cyrilla. I can't even imagine the horrors she must be going through now... If she is still alive.

Richard once again went against the expectations and freed the sacrifice lady... I am sure nothing good would come of that too... (hide spoiler)]

Up to Ch. 46... (view spoiler)[ One of the brothers from the Mud People, who was supposed to protect her, just killed a bunch of the young soldiers and betrayed Kahlan!!! He is a baneling!!! I can't believe he killed his brother and the other Mud People warrior!

I am really getting frustrated with the amount of threats of rape and actual rape in this book!!! It makes me so angry and filled with helpless rage! (hide spoiler)]

Up to ch.48
OMG! Prindin was a baneling! And he killed his brother!!! I agree with you Chomp - thank goodness Chandalen is alive! More reading tomorrow - time to hit the hay for me.

This is one betrayal after another!!! Doesn't that hurt your soul, Monika? I am up to Ch. 58... (view spoiler)[ Zed and A have agreed on putting a spell on themselves to forget their abilities and who they are in order to stay alive from that nasty spell disease that was killing them...

And now that Wizard, who was sent by the Sister of Darkness, is putting Kahlan on trial for supposed treason and all types of "murders"... I hate that Order!!!

I really don't like how Petra is all over Richard. I do like the Weasel boy and Grak though. And now Richard has a camouflage cloak:) (hide spoiler)]

I actually finished... The last 100 pages were go go go!

Richard makes such stupid mistakes, drives me crazy!!! (view spoiler)[ He trust people who are obviously shady, while judging those who actually try to help him harshly...

Poor Queen! I am glad she is alive, but she is so very damaged:((( So Kahlan is going to be acting Queen in her stead until she heals...

I love Scarlett the Dragon and Grach!

So Richard has both Additive and Subtractive magic. This makes him a War Mage. I do wish there weren't so many Sisters of the Dark in that school, so he could have learned more about his magic. It is interesting that the Prophet Mage is actually related to him.

Zed got his memory back, but he was kind of scary while doing it. I am glad A did too, a bit more gently.

Richard killing all the Council members was kind of cool, in a crazy sort of way. And finally, The Good Spirits mad and appearance in the being of Danna, and R+K finally got together...

I am very glad R was able to kill the Dark Sister while she was trying to take his power, but they still missed the ones who went on a ship to somewhere... Glad The Prelet is not one of them though.

Darken Raoul is also trapped in the Underworld for now, but who knows for how long. Too much magic on all sides. For now, it seems like The Emperial Order is going to be the Big Bad. (hide spoiler)]

I am actually looking forward to reading more:)))

I'm about 200 pages to end... Busy day... No chance for reading... I hope to read bit more tonight and hopefully finish tomorrow. I'm in point when Richard playing in Sisters Palace to know as much as possible using money they have him and keeping Pasha as far from his pants as he can :) honestly she's pathetic :) no chance to win Kahlan's place in his heart, even Du Chaillu had more 'balls' if I can use this expression :)
