Since Librarians can't merge author profiles when one of them is a GR author (and the misspelled profile has followers), I've asked GR Support to merge the profiles.
I will combine the books (and merge the empty duplicate edition) once the profiles are merged.

That's great, Arenda. The only solutions I've seen before in this case is that there is a link on the faulty profile to refer readers to the right one.

The author profiles were merged. The empty edition combined and deleted.
