Located two corridors down from the classroom for Transfigurations is the office and living space of Professor Koronis. The door is charmed so that anyone univited that might barge in would be transfigured into an animal form that might best suit them. Of course, the spell only last for a few hours, its still good security. Erik has his bedroom space hidden behind what appears to be a closet door. A desk and two chairs make up the furniture in the office space and the walls are lined with shelves covered with strange books and artifacts. The walls or what can be seen of them is a pastel bluish green colour with royal blue trim and window sills. The room is circular with five windows each depicting the school grounds at a different time of year while the one behind the desk was just swirling darkness.

Erik at last reached the finale of his evening. Classes were over for the day apart from Astronomy. It was only a few minutes before the students gathered in the Great Hall for their last meal of their first day. He had already ordered a couple of bottles from Hogsmeade and had two glasses set out on his desk on either side of the cinnamon firewhiskey. He flicked his wand as his robes unraveled from his body. The next flick his bedroom door opened and a claw foot tub began to fill with bubbles and steaming water. He swayed his wand over his shoulder and the office door closed. The last of his garments melted away from his body as he slid into the tub. His bedroom door still open, but his office door closed he was okay with having his back to the door. He laid back in the tub and tried to soak in good vibes. He wasn't daring to release his wand at this point his life was dependent on his wand.
Lena had quite an eventful first day. She couldn't say she hadn't enjoyed it though, it was nice to have something as unforced and simple as teaching art. She hadn't had the time to really focus on something creative like art since school, being so busy with work which consisted mostly of illegal acts had drawn away from that and she'd never really bothered to care much. Lena could definitely understand Erik a little better now. She wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Mentally shaking herself, she picked up the pace a bit as she neared his office.
Erik had nearly forgot all about Lena and the issues for his life that she brought with her. He soaked in his bubble bath and seemed to lose all worry. He didn't want to admit to himself that he was soaking in a potion bath designed to help him relax, but all that mattered was that he was in deed relaxed. He rested silently with his eyes closed and sort of slipped slightly into a sleep.
Lena, not quite trusting anything at the moment even if she had temporarily slipped out of her hunting drive, cast a few revealing charms and other spells to seek out or break harmful charms that might be protecting the office. Once finished, she approached and knocked on the door, not wanting to startle him into attacking by not announcing her pressence.
Ethan heard the knock at the door breaking him from his slumber and peace and bringing him back to recall he is in fact Erik and not Ethan. He quickly got out of the tub and called out to the door. "Come in...I was just bathing I'll be out in a moment." He whisked his wand toward the door but he was still feeling the effects of the bath and his wandwork was lazy. The door to his sleeping quarters only partially shut. Erik rolled his eyes as he summoned a towel around his waist. He didnt know much else he could do in such short notice. He was fuzzy brained as he wondered around his room looking for clothes most of his bags only half unpacked.
Lena opened the door carefully, not particularly liking how blind she felt. The office that greeted her on the other side was a good deal homier than she'd bothered to make hers since she had viewed it as a short-term thing. Her attention was immediately grabbed by the windows, or what she assumed must be the windows although they must be enchanted, and Lena wondered why he had done it. Then catching herself, she actually examined the room with her usual hunter's mind, taking in threats (something she should have done first thing). Her gaze went to the first place she figured a threat would be which was of course the door to Erik's quarters, noticing that it was still partially open which Lena decided couldn't have been intentional when she caught sight of Erik wearing only a towel from the waist down. It didn't faze her in the slightest thanks to the setting she had grown up in, but then again it kind of did just because this was the man she was supposed to be hunting and he was clearly a mess right now. Something she was not supposed to feel bad about.
Erik gathered himself and his thoughts. He finally conjured his evening clothes so he could have a formal conversation about those that wish him dead. He took a slow deep breath and stepped out the door. He stopped once he discovered Lena. He glanced back at the bottle on the table and the two glasses ensuring they had not been distrubed. "Well...I'm still here. Do you have any answers for me? Who is it I should be afraid of if not Delphinium?" He asked her again, but less desperate sounding and much more together with his mindset. He needed to know who his biggest threat was so he might prepare for the worse case scenario. It was so strange being caught as he thought he took all the right steps to avoid this scenario, but he found himself yet again in his day thanking the universe that Lena was here to kill him and no one else. Erik/Ethan knew this may be his last week alive, but he was always one to prepare for anything. Lena was something he was not prepared for. "Any chance you might share how you discovered me before anyone else?" He knew his work wasn't sloppy. He made has few stops as possible and spaced them out rather far apart from one another on his way to becoming Erik Koronis. He didn't get how anyone would have been able to find him especially so quickly he had just got the teaching job this year.
Lena had told him that she'd give him answers if he showed tonight, well here he was. "Harlow liked you well enough to not send me after you once it was obvious you'd left the country," Lena began. "Everyone else, not so much. Do you know how many people profit from the underground duels? How many people you cost a whole lot of money, not even counting your debts, and were seen publicly bested by one man who then disappeared and wasn’t punished for it? They're the ones who put the lofty price on you dead or alive and if it was just them I would have already dragged you back." She suspected he knew that much as it was rather obvious. "But you want to know who’s after you that has me here now and you still alive and breathing, or at least not my captive on your way back to America. Gellert Grindelwald. And he wants you alive, for obvious reasons. I wasn’t even hunting you until he showed up with the job, I don’t think he wanted to come here otherwise I truly believe he would have found you himself, that seems to be how he does his recruiting." She hadn't been surprised that he had approached her gang after hearing he was recruiting at minor rallies, but the reason had caught her off guard, not to mention the man himself had not been at all what she was expecting. "I’m not sure if you’ve heard much about him in Europe yet but things have changed back home since you left. MACUSA's been hiding it well I’ll admit, but times are dark and it's only getting worse. It doesn’t help that San Francisco is almost as far away as you can get from New York, they’re going to lose their foothold on the west coast in things get much worse." Lena had watched as the no-maj’s war had slowly started to seep into the magical community, people were afraid, and for good reason. Then this guy had showed up and offered them the perfect solution, she didn’t know whether she trusted it or not, but a whole lot of people did. "Something is coming, I'm not sure to what extent but it won't be confined to just the underground or even our people." If Dorian Harlow was willing to send her around the world on a chase for a dark wizard then Lena was sure of that. "As for how I found you, I'll keep my methods to myself, but I will tell you that third identity switch almost cost me a lot of time."
Erik raised his eyebrow at her a bit confused, but trying to piece it together. He didn't understand why Grindlewald wanted to recruit him personally. While he might be a good follower Erik wasn't one for following anyone. "If Grindlewald really needed me he would have come himself. I'm all for his goals, but I'm not participating just because you got paid to make me." He thought about the reasons he could be desired that badly, but he wasn't particularly talented in anything apart from Transfigurations. "I like the life I have made here. I actually enjoy teaching. I can send you back with all the money you want and then more. This school has a room of many rooms it opens to a room according to your needs." He found a place to hide the money in the school which just happened to be a cery large treasure trove room. Erik poured two glasses of firewhiskey and slid one to the other side of his desk. He sat in his chair and gestured ti the one in front of the desk.
Lena debated testing the whiskey for poison but the spell she’d cast upon entering the room hadn’t picked up anything dangerous to her at the time and Erik seemed to be cooperating, although that never meant anything, so she decided to hell with it and drank it anyway. Hopefully the potion she had drank beforehand did it’s job. “He’s not paying me anything,” she admitted. “I got sent on the job for a different payment. And I already told you he has his reasons for not coming although he didn’t exactly tell me what.” And she wasn’t really about to question him as to his reasons. Lena wasn’t technically his follower, but if he succeeded in getting what he wanted then she would like to be on his good side when it happened. “Neither did he tell me exactly what he wanted you for, but my guess is it’s something to do with your choice of hideout, because it’s almost like he knew where you were before I did.”
Erik rolled his eyes, he couldn't believe one of the most powerful wizards of the age wanted to use him for something. If it was the fact he hid at Hogwarts how did Grindlewald even know where he would be? Erik knew he was a very powerful wizard, but also felt that Gindlewald might have other exceptional skills. "It's the third eye. I've never believed in prophecies, but if Grindlewald knew I was here he is able to see things others can't." He finished his drink and poured another. He began to rack his brain as to what would be so important at the school. If Lena was paid to bring him back to Grindlewald, Erik knew if he refused the man's offer his life would be deemed useless and he would be executed. "I can't go back with you. If I had a way to get ahold of Delphinium and Grindlewald I would let them know I am of no real use to them. I'll send everything I stole back plus some. If its about the money I only used enough to get here and change my identity. They can have it all back." He had all the capabilities of a wizard that Grindlewald would recruit...blood status included. What he didn't have was any form of exceptional gifts apart from being an unregistered animagus. "I cant go back to the states. Especially, after what I did to get away." Erik recalled the night he escaped the duel with all the bidding money. On his way through an ally before he disapperated a boy who followed one of the rich guys at the duel chased after him. Erik didn't see the boy, but the curse he cast out of fear surely left the kid dead or worse left for dead. He blinked back to reality. "Why are you even doing this Lena? Because Harlow told you to? If Grindlewald offered Harlow to bring me back alive then you were even more underpaid for your services than if someone went directly to you."
Lena filed away Erik’s guess about the Third Eye for later. There was something itching in the back of her mind, something she must have learned at school yet couldn’t recall at the moment, whatever it was it felt important. But she had suspected Grindelwald had had some way of getting his information, Erik just happened to be helping her towards figuring out what that might be. “Do you honestly think that would work? He’s not just going to let you stay here in your little hiding place. Besides, I already told you, he’s not paying me anything. The prize for bringing you in is much more desirable than money which I honestly have too much of. As for Harlow, he’s only involved because I went to him after Grindelwald approached me.” Lena was starting to feel like his questions were up, if she didn’t kill him today like she had sort of originally planned to then her only other options were to carry out her orders or call it quits. If she quit Lena really didn’t know what to expect, the Delphinium would take her back without question even if her record had a failed bounty. But Grindelwald? Rumour was he treated his followers well, unlike the majority of dark wizards had, but then Lena wasn’t one of his followers. “Look Erik—okay yeah that’s not working—Ethan,” up until now Lena had been thinking of him as Erik Koronis, her latest bounty. Calling him by the name she knew him as made him someone she actually knew, an old friend. But that wasn’t working anymore. “There’s no escaping this. Even if I were to return with the money and claim I killed you, that would only get the underground off your tail. Grindelwald would just send one of his followers after you, someone who wouldn’t hesitate to drag you back to the States. It would be easier to hear him out.” Lena hesitated before continuing, revealing this would cause her lose a lot of the power she currently held through deception. “I was sent to collect you, by force if needed but Grindelwald must know about our past because he seemed to think I could talk you into it for some reason. I was told to wait until it would seem like you had left during the holidays— which is what led to my guess that he wanted you to keep your position here.”
Ethan felt panick rising in his throat flushing his face red, but that could have also just been the firewhiskey making him feel out of sorts. Either fact just pushed him to drink another glass. He finished pouring and noticed the bottle was half empty probably due to the fact he was on his third or fourth glass. He knew now the way she spoke that the bounty on his head was not nearly as important as Grindelwald's desire for him to join his cause. Ethan felt deep down his heart needed to rest from that old life, but perhaps joining Grindelwald wasn't going to be terrible. Ethan already held some prejudice toward muggles, but if he chose to go through with it then he would have to leave for the states over holiday. That meant the possibility of becoming caught by anyone working for Delphinium. "If I agree to meet Grindelwald this winter and you swear to keep me concealed from Delphinium I'll do it, but if Harlow gets involved I'm killing him and fleeing the country again." Ethan was adamant about his demands, but he queationed if Lena's motive was to turn him into both Delphinium and Grindelwald which could start a battle all of its own. Given the exceptional history of Grindelwald it was safe to say that Harlow didn't stand a chance, but what if Harlow won and demanded Ethan pay with his life.
"Oh he won't care that you're back," Lena said easily. "In fact, he agreed to spread the rumour that your debts are squared with us, makes it easier to bring you back considering I won't have to hide you from my own gang in addition to all the others you slighted. You'll just have to play the part and stay within our territory unless you're with me and none of the Delphinium will bother you." It had been easy enough to convince him too, he trusted her and for some reason unknown to Lena he also seemed to trust Grindelwald- well trust as much was allowed when one was a dark wizard. As far as she knew he hadn't pledged anything official yet but he openly believed in Grindelwald's cause, which was essentially equality in the sense that each being had a different purpose in life with those with magic-regardless of blood status-at the top of the pyramid. Lena wasn't yet sure if she truly stood behind that although she knew that she would stick with whatever the Delphinium did. "But, seeing as we seem to have reached an agreement, I have something else for you." Lena produced a piece of paper folded into a triangle small enough to easily fit in her palm, holding it up between her index and middle fingers before holding it out to Ethan. "I have absolutely no idea what's in it, it's enchanted for security and I didn't feel trying my luck, but I'm assuming you won't have a problem."
Ethan was taken back, why would Harlow agree to such terms? Now he was more apprehensive of the situation, but as long as he seemed on board he had till winter to decide if Lena really was on his side. "So no debts? I presume it was Grindelwald who arranged for my clean slate?" He was curious just how many people he actually pulled one over on. He had never stopped to really think about all those people who could have spent all their savings to win a bet so their family could be more secure with the rising criminal world out West. How many families went hungry because of him? When Lena produced the small folded paper Ethan took to gently from her fingers and pulled out his wand. He held his wand like a knife and pointed the tip of it against the paper he sat infront if him on the desk. He was curious what letter she might be delivering to him. He knew instantly the charm that had sealed the letter and sat his wand aside on the desk. He picked up the folded paper and kissed it. Instantly, the letter began to unfold itself as if a mechanism was wiring inside it to create a full sheet of paper. ((I assume you have already got an idea as to whot he letter is from and what it says. However, if not seen in your next post should I improvise?))
((not really in detail, just probably a polite apology from Grindelwald for not coming himself and also for sending Lena after him, then maybe a promise to make it worth his while to come which might intrigue Ethan enough to be curious and come willingly and with an open mind. something short and simple. if you could do it cuz your good at prose like that :))Lena watched and waited curious to see what the slip of paper that she’d been carrying for over a month said. It had taken every bit of self restraint she had not to try to read it on the long ship ride across the Atlantic. “Well no debts owed to us, but I think it would be safe to say that if you don’t exit your meeting with Grindelwald’s protection, however that might happen, then you could be in danger from everyone else and possibly the Delphinium. It would probably be safest to bring the money you owe us plus a little just so you truly are free, I don’t care what you do with the rest.” In truth she didn’t even care if he brought back the Delphiniums money, they had more than enough, but appearances had to be kept and if Ethan was allowed to walk free among them then he would have to fix things otherwise it would make the Delphinium seem weak that they couldn’t even touch the man that had stolen from them even when he was in middle of their city.
((Okay sounds good...and thanks for recognizing a strong suit I didnt know I had ego boost for me for the day lol)) Ethan carefully calculated what Lena was saying to him. It was only right Delphinium came out on top, but they could still lose influence just by the fact that Ethan was in fact alive after such treacherous events regardless what his planned fate was the night of that duel. He went on to look at the letter. He felt his finger tips going numb sensing a spell at work as he began to read. Naturally, he never could read without speaking aloud even if it was a whisper.
(view spoiler)
Ethan felt a small shock connect between his fingers and the paper as he finished reading. The paper burned up into blue flames and as the flames grew Ethan held his hands underneath the fire. Just as the flickers of blue light died a vial of golden glowing liquid was left in his hands. He placed the vial on the desk frowning at it. "Alright, so I'm supposed to act normal as a professor and pretend I dont know you? Once we make it to the States...How do I know this isn't just some trick so Harlow can kill me himself?" He was so stressed. He really thought he escaped and Lena had to reveal herself to him the first day of actual classes. He missed the opening night feast and sorting ceremony or he would have seen her then and knew to run. Now he was trapped.
((definitely, I'm always impressed))Lena strained her ears to hear what it was that Ethan was reading, but no matter how she tried Grindelwald had done his job well because it sounded like gibberish to her. She sighed to herself as the paper went up in flames, a bit disappointed she had let herself hope to see what it had contained. Lena quickly examined the vial before answering. "You can if you want I guess, it doesn't really matter as long as no one finds out exactly what our past dealings were. And why would I waste time tricking you so he could kill you when it would be easier to just do it myself? That's a bit much even for me."
((also, is that a connection in that last sentence??? I was thinking Henry Baldur sounded similar to Grindelwald but a bit more peaceful lol))
((I knew you would get the connection. What Im thinking is Grindelwald and Baldur were semi friends until their political views pushed them apart. While Henry wanted magical equality among all magical beings and muggles Gellert wished for magical superiority over muggles both pushing to abolish the international statue of secrecy law forever. But given how they were friends Gellert didn't personally interfere with Henry's politics. However, one of his acolytes, unnamed, used the full moon charm to ruin Henry's reputation only destroying the life of a young boy instead. Perhaps, Grindelwald seeks this information from Ethan given his Transfiguration talents as to change the phase of the moon is a powerful Transfiguration charm. I'm pushing for a backstory connection with Liam which could end catastrophic given his condition.))((Ill reply in a bit at work rn))
Ethan sighed heavily while he contemplated his options. "We need to maintain conversations under secrecy." He spoke as he used his thumb and index to rub the corners of his eyes. "The last thing in Grindelwald's letter was a curious statement. He was wondering what spell could cause the moon to turn full." Ethan didn't understand it, but he felt he had to figure the answer out before their intitial meeting. He was also very curious of the golden glowing vial of Felix Felicis. "That's enough potion to give me at least a week of luck." He stated still studying the vial and trying to determine when he should use it and for what purpose.
((that all sounds thought out and connects well, I like it :))Lena thought she knew exactly why he would ask that but didn't say so immediately. Instead she reached toward the vial, curious as to why Ethan might need it, it was just tempting him to use the lucky potion to get away. But just after her first instinct to reach for it, Lena decided it was probably safest not to touch it and waved her hand, using simple wandless magic common in America due to its past, she rotated it in one quick spin before letting it slow in speed. It looked to just be a standard vial, no inscriptions or anything to indicate what it was for. "You didn't follow politics did you," she remarked after a moment. "Does the name Henry Baldur ring any bells? A Californian politician who tried to break from MACUSA, ended up killed by werewolves at a rally when a freak accident led to the moon phase changing. Only no one believes it was an accident. I suppose Grindelwald thinks you might have answers for him considering you're the Transfiguration professor. Don't know why he's asking now though, it's been years."
Ethan had considered using the potion to escape, but he may have greater things ahead for himself if Grindelwald wanted his expertise specifically. He pondered on what Lena was telling him. "Baldur...Baldur is the name of one of our students." Ethan did remeber something in the pre-term invoice letter for faculty about a student who had a severe condition which would need everyone's vigilance and care. "He is a werewolf...You don't think that kid being here is why Grindelwald wants me to find out this spell, do you?" He was starting to question a lot and now he needed answers. His mission was to figure this out before winter, but he wanted to figure out the connection between Grindelwald and Baldur first.
Well that was news to Lena, she did remember being notified of a student being a werewolf but had assumed he wasn't in her class because she hadn't gotten a name. But that made sense considering the boy's parents had died that night along with his grandfather, he hadn't been seen in the States in years. Poor kid must have been bitten and forced to restart his life here. "I would have to ask around, but Grindelwald and Baldur's views aren't particularly different, it would make sense for them to know of each other, maybe he thinks having the kid on his side would rally Baldur's supporters to him." It wasn't uncommon for Grindelwald to recruit underage wizards, Lena couldn't count the number of young people she'd seen at his rallies, it was probably spreading like wildfire in Ilvermorny as well. But he actually seemed to respect the young people which she had found strange. "I don't think he would sabotage him though, Grindelwald likes to win his followers over as you've seen tonight."
Ethan toyed with the thought. "If they knew each other I can wager that the boy has some form of significance to him." He began to think of what other gifts Grindelwald was going to send. The potion was enough to last a week. What would he need a whole week of luck for? And if Grindelwald wasn't going to use the spell to do damage to more innocent lives what was the purpose of the knowledge? "I suppose I have my work cut out for me. If there truly is a connection to that spell and the name Baldur with Grindelwald then I need to find answers sooner than later. Lena I don't care about any of our past from before. I need help now. I want to get to the bottom of all this. There are many twisted and dark things afoot and I don't want any of these kids getting hurt. I am not going to say I don't trust some members of the faculty, but I do feel that there may be one among us who does not have any good intentions for these kids. Something bad is coming I can feel it." Of course, this could be the feeling of impending doom one might host while there is a bounty on their head, but he did seem shook. "Sorry, I don't mean to concern you with this nonsense. It's all in my head. I'll focus on Grindelwald's task and report." He reached for his vial and stood quickly packing it away into a corner cabinet and sealing it with his wand. He seemed much more edgy just as he was earlier in the day when Lena first revealed her presence to him.
"I can do some digging," she said without much hesitation, "It is my job after all and honestly I have way too much free time." Lena was used to being doing something at almost all times. If she wasn't on a bounty job then it was Delphinium business. She had already begun painting the walls of her office while waiting for this meeting just because she had nothing else to do after classes were over. Not just one solid color but an intricate scene that she had originally planned for just one wall but would probably end up on the other walls as well. "The connection between Grindelwald and Baldur should be easy enough since both are radicals, old news reports and the like will no doubt cover Baldur. As for the staff, that might be a bit trickier, you don't want to flush them out and scare them into action if they really are here. But it shouldn't be a problem considering I'm already on the inside to get to you, what's one more person."
Ethan sighed glad to know Lena was willing to help. He was unsure how this term was going to go, but with Grindelwald at large in the states it took Ministry focus away from the school which left them all vulnerable. He sat back down and flicked his wand, instantly from his sleeping quarters three very large and almost ancient looking books drifted through the air to scatter before him at his desk. "Im not one to wait on information to come to me." He said swiping his wand over the books as they all opened slowly flipping through pages as if he were capable of reading all three at one time. While Ethan was skimming the books a very loud knock came from the office door. Ethan turned pale not expecting anyone at this hour apart from Lena. The knock rang three times more, but louder. Then Ethan hesitantly got up and walked over to the door. He slowly opened it revealing a 5th year boy wearing dark green silk pajamas. He was pale and trembling."Professor, I dont know you, but you are going to be my brother's mentor while he trains to become an Animagus. I'm Zelus Nyx...Something bad is happening in the forest and he is in danger...You have to go help him." Zelus pleaded frantically. He knew why he was there his visions showed him that was where hebwas to go if he wantwd to help his older brother, but he did not care to explain this to either professor. He desired their assistance because if he chose to go anywhere else he did not feel there would be the same outcome.
Ethan shook his head, "Slow down, Zelus. What do you mean your brother is in danger? What were you bots doing in the forest alone?" He was very curious now and was a bit concerned for the boys health. "Are you sure you didn't just have a nightmare?" He looked back to Lena for some help. Obviously, something shocked this boy enough ti cause him to run here. He was clearly out if breath and terrified.
Lena grabbed the bottle of whiskey and poured herself another glass while she waited to see if Ethan was going to say anything more or possibly find something in one of his books. She was just debating calling it a night here when a sounded at the door. Lena glanced at Ethan to see his reaction and didn't like what she saw, he looked pale. She drew her wand from her sleeve and tucked it in her boot instead, from a sitting position it was far more accessible and faster to grab from there. But it was just a student at the door, she recognized his surname having both him and his brother in her class later this week, but apart from that she didn't know anything else. Lena stood and walked over to the door as well when Ethan gave her a look that clearly said he could use some help. "You said he's in the forest?" From his manner she wanted to believe him but the boy had obviously been in bed, if he had been in the forest as well then there would be some sign. Lena assumed maybe Zelus' brother had told him where he was going and had yet to return. "When and where did you see him last?"
Zelus shook his head, "I don't know earlier today...I just...I know he is in danger and he needs help!" He didn't want to sound panicked, but the professor's were asking too many nonsensical questions. He wasn't about to tell them how he knew these things, but he knew it was urgent Eros got some help. He was shaking and terrified. "The longer you question me about details the closer my brother is coming to dying." Zelus shook his head desperately trying to just get them to go to the Forest. Then Ethan reached out and touched him. Zelus was instantly sent into a vision and his gaze seemed fixed on nothing. His mouth dropped lazily and he seemed a bit rigid. Zelus saw a brown crow and it flew to a strange man with an extra eye on his forehead. Throughout the vision it was snowing. The images vanished as Ethan released him and he blinked back into reality closing his mouth. He just witnessed the professor joining Grindelwald and that terrified him even more. He shook his head and backed away slowly. "Oh... I...nevermind." he moved to get away from the door and away from the now suspicious professors. Ethan reached out to turn Zelus around, "You aren't getting off that easily. Whats this nonsense about your brother?" He looked at Lena with a raised eyebrow, Zelus was acting very strange and the few seconds he just went rigid and silent raised an alarm for concern.
Lena was about to call it a night and let Ethan take care of this since the kid had come to him specifically, but then they boy froze up. Not a normal kind of stall, no Lena had only ever seen this once before, when her lover had had a vision of a gathering underneath a bridge stretching across the bay, a bridge that didn't exist. She made the decision then to believe Zelus and rather than step in and try to get answers when Ethan looked back at her, she said, "Come on kid, let's go." Gesturing for him to get moving she gave Ethan a questioning look, seeing if he was coming as well. She would do this on her own if she had to, but Zelus had come for Ethan, now she knew there must be a reason for that. She would worry about what he saw later.
Ethan nodded and closed his office door behind them as he walked with Lena and Zelus. He was curious what the boys ailment might actually be, but he cery highly doubted this student was going to lead them to any sort of danger in the forest. He was reluctant, but he kept his wand at the ready as they went. Zelus was so relieved, Professor Xie was accompanying them and even more so now he had a vision about Professor Koronis that sent trimmers of fear through his body. He didn't know why his brother would ever want to spend extra time with a guy who was capable of a lot of bad things. He led them to the grandstair case and moved past the clocktower courtyard as they walked along the hillside of the castle grounds the air grew colder the closer to the forest the approached. Zelus had his own wand at the ready as they drew nearer to the canopy of darkness.
