Basically, there is a site wide issue that Goodreads is aware of and trying to fix. The issue you mentioned is one of those.

You can click on edit next to the topic and add [Done].

Please, be specific and instead of rather unspecific word "add" tell me where should I find button (or should there be any menu perhaps?) "done" and how to get it. Just "add done" really tells me not what to do, it is instruction of no use, I am afraid.

You just add [Done] to the topic title. (By typing it.)
