I'm about 1/3 of the way in, and I had to put it down and pick up a different book. I am waaay too worried about our characters. I sure wish someone who has finished it would tell me it all turns out ok. I'm not sure I can stand the stress!! But since I'm the only who's posted so far, I may have to go read the end and then go back and read the middle!
I'm about 60% through Elsewhere. Georgann I think that the plot is getting darker. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
I finally wimped out, skipped to the end and sent it back to the library. *sigh* I think it was just too hard with the child involved. I felt like surely Koontz wouldn't kill her off, but it was just too much for me.

That's why well written books still end up as DNF. I have trouble when children are harmed, too.
Rating: 3.5 starsI read this book on Kindle Unlimited. It includes Elsewhere and Parlor Trick (an additional collection of related short stories). The plot reminds me of the original Twilight Zone episodes I watched when I was a teenager. Although I would have liked the science behind the inventions explained in more detail, I still enjoyed the book.
