I've noticed a recent trend of increasing numbers of books showing the default edition to be in an language other than that in which the books were originally published. As an illustration, look at the Booker Prize listing page on Goodreads https://www.goodreads.com/award/show/... This is causing problems when you want to search under a specific author, or book series, or prize listing for a book to read, and you cannot recognise the titles because they are in such a wide variety of languages. It is less of a problem if you already know what book you want to read - but surely seeking inspiration for what to read next is one of the key advantages of Goodreads - an advantage now eroded by this recent change. Any idea what is causing it? Presumably it relates to how Goodreads selects which edition of a book is the default edition.
