SOLVED. Fantasy/ fiction book, main character has escaped from tyrannical ruler and is on the run in disguise

I read this book between 2012 to 2014.

I remember the cover was green with a girl wearing a cloak with a hood facing the left, I think she had blonde hair and was standing in front of a tree. The plot was she was a prisoner of some sort for this tyrannical ruler of a kingdom or something like that, and all the prisoners had their heads shaved. She escapes one day I think with outside help and her friend comes with her I believe. They’re on the run because they’ll realize they’re gone. They find a lady to stay with in a village somewhere and she gives them wigs because otherwise everyone will know where they come from. The friend dies at some point or gets recaptured and and at the end of the book it’s revealed the friend actually betrayed her and went to marry the tyrannical ruler. I believe there is some sort of mythical or magic element to the book but I can’t remember what it was, and the book was possibly apart of a series. I think the title is one word that starts with an “A”, I could be wrong tho. For the longest time I thought it was called “Anathema” but I don’t think that’s it, when I search that it’s nothing close to what I’m looking for lol. Please help! Thank you!! :)

I found it!!!! It’s Anathema cloud prophet trilogy, yay me :)
