In the 1990s (probably between 1994-1997) I read a series of chapter books (about the reading level of The Babysitters Club) where the main character was named Colette (it is possible that her name was spelled "Collette"). In one book, she goes to camp and finds a diary in her cabin, and all of her friends leave when they get poison ivy. In another book, she is suspected of stealing something at the mall. Thanks!
