At first, I pictured him as a Mafia kind of guy. As the story progressed, I thought better of him. I guess Robin Hood is as good a description of him as any other.
Same here, Charlene. When I started reading the book, I thought he was a wanted criminal. But, we learned that they just wanted to question him about various incidents and didn't really have any proof that he had done anything wrong.
I loved Bobby Rose! He was a good Sarmaritian to me. He only conned, swindled people who had gotten their money in less than ethical methods and he used those very methods to divest them of said money.
I'm not sure how to classify him. His heart is in the right place but he does get revenge illegally. It is interesting that he started as a lawyer. My guess is he couldn't get justice in the courts.
I thought Bobby Rose was the most interesting character in the book and we didn't even get to meet him in person until the end. I was actually hoping that he would play a bigger role in the ending.

It made sense to me.
