David Simons | 3 comments Greetings, everyone! I am in search of a native editor for a novel that has been translated from Russian. The novel encompasses 44,000 words and offers a realistic portrayal of modern Russia. While most of the translation is satisfactory, there are certain parts that require improvement. Unfortunately, English is not my native language, making it challenging for me to evaluate the work on my own.

Consequently, I am seeking an experienced individual who can substantiate their expertise with a portfolio or reviews. My aim is to find a passionate and diligent editor to collaborate with. If you fit the bill, I look forward to connecting with you!

Ackash Kumar (adkthehurricane) | 40 comments Hey fellow authors!

My name is Ackash and I am a university student. I also write short stories, books and poems. Some of my work can be viewed here: https://ackashkumar.wixsite.com/home

I have about 3 or so years of experiece beta reading, editing and proofreading for budding authors on Goodreads. I also have been taught English by my mother (who is an English lecturer) and am an avid reader (since the tender age of 2!). Needless to say, I am experienced in reading fiction in many of it's forms.

I can give you assistance in terms of the plot, grammar or whatever you need checking. As of now, I am on semester break so my commission box is open until October! Hence, if you wish to ask for my services (generally, I charge about $1 for the first chapter and so forth), please do DM me on Goodreads for more information. I hope to provide the best possible service!

Hi Georgiy,

As a writer, I understand the care a new brainbaby needs. I have spent the better part of my life reading. I have a Postgraduate degree in English Literature, and have been trained to critique all forms of literature for over 5 years. I also have a course certificate in Editing and Publishing, and have edited over a hundred books, many of which have gone into publishing and are doing well. :)

As a beta reader, I invest myself at the work at hand, and plunge into the characters' journey. I offer extensive critical insight, and ensure that your writing gets the best. If you would like to check out reviews of my service, then you can find them at fiverr.com/wordpaint :)

I will pinpoint exact portions that work/don't work, and leave extensive suggestions on how to revise them. I will also answer any and all questions you may have about your MSS, objectively.

Here are my rates:
Developmental critique (in-depth beta reading): $12 per 10k words.
Proofreading: $30 per 10k words
Line editing (i.e, fixing grammar, punctuations, awkward sentences, paragraph lengths, rearranging/rewriting lines for better coherence, making additions/deletions necessary to the script): $40 per 10k words

Please get in touch with me if you want to iron out details or rates. I would love to discuss your work with you, and ensure that it unlocks its maximum potential. Drop me a mail at meghaleemitra@gmail.com and I will get back to you promptly. Thank you! :D
