I have 4 audiobooks planned as buddy reads for April and nothing lined ..."
That's great for hours. Mine is 8 am until 8 am --- while I have done the late night before, probably will have to turn in a bit earlier - we shall see. I have actually been good with straightening my sleep out but will be loaded with caffeine. I usually make it a Read-a-thon Weekend anyway
Your hours are great as you can sleep in the middle and have a long beginning AND end fully awake :)

I would totally rent a cabin if I had one nearby

The Water Outlaws sounds great. I found it on Everand. It is on my list of possibilities. I hope you tell us how you liked it.

I‘ve had a stressful week at work, so I didn‘t get very far with Outlaws. Stress usually means more TV, less reading… the first three chapters were good. I am looking forward to finally digging i to it.
However! The old double-booking—I had accidentally agreed to meet a friend for breakfast and then forgotten all about it. Couldn't really get out of it. So this will be a Dewey‘s with stops and starts…

I might need to switch to audiobook as well soon, I feel they are great to get into the reading when a bit tired from physical books! Provided the narrator is decent, of course

That sounds nice! I'm planning wine tonight as well, but it's noon here now

1) What part of the world am I reading from today? Germany
2) Which book in my stack am I most looking forward to? Probably The Godbreaker
3) Which snacks am I most looking forward to? I‘m not much of a snack person. I just had some pretzel sticks with my white wine… 😏
4) A little something about myself! I mostly read SF, Fantasy, Horror and comics. Making my way through TWD.
5) What is my goals for this readathon? I am very stressed at the moment, with work and my family. So I look forward to some quite time with a good book
Take Us to a Better Place looks interesting. Just now I bought it for free the Kindle book. Soadded to my possibilities list.

Looks like a great readathon, Cathy!

How many books did you read during this readathon? — I read 6 books/comics.
Did you have any favorites? — Definitely The Godbreaker. Great finish to a very good epic fantasy trilogy.
How many books did you finish? — One novel (Godbreaker), one graphic novel (Walking Dead Vol. 25), one comic (How you know your vat is plotting…)
Did you accomplish your goals for this readathon? — No goals.
How did your snacks and meals work out? Are there things you would change about the food and beverages side of your readathon for next time? — I would do more meal prep next time. Life was too busy for that this time.
Did you enjoy this readathon? What was the most successful part of your readathon? What would you change for next time? — I would make sure not to have any other plans. I wasn‘t very organised this time around. High point was really focusing on Godbreaker.
Will you be continuing your readathon reading past the end of our official readathon. — Yes, but it will be pretty low key, with the TV in the background.

I read/listened for 9 hours 25 minutes during the readathon hours. I finished one doorstopper, one more Walking Dead volume, one comic.
It was 286 pages of eye-reading. Most of it was audio…

Lesson Learned:
Better planning! Make you sure really don‘t have any other plans! Write the date down everywhere!
Plan enough free time on the day before and do some proper meal planning.
Having several partially read books was a good move, I actually finished something during the readathon.

Susan wrote: "I hope you were able to mentally escape and get some reading accomplished as well, Cathy. I'm glad you joined us for the readathon!"
Thanks! I was still a little stressed, but it helped… 😊
Lamilla wrote: "Love the Lessons Learned section! See you next time, Cathy!"
I stole that idea from Vavita! 😏

Saturday 27th at 2am CET.
Hint Set #1: Be thinking parties. What kind you want to read about? What kind you dream about? What will you and your guests do at your party?
I‘m really not a party person. Usually I am glad when I can go home again and do my own thing. 😂
Hint Set # 2: What kind of party you want to enjoy in real life or in ideal or imaginary life? Any or all might be best?
Something involving food and books? See my comment to Hint #1… 😏
I have to confess I don‘t get this whole prompt thing with hints to set up a TBR for a readathon. It confuses me.

What am I reading this weekend?
Finished yesterday:
- Take Us to a Better Place | My review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, short story collection, about 60+ pages.
Currently reading:
- Sixty Harvests Left: How to Reach a Nature-Friendly Future, paper, 20 pages or so…
- A Marvellous Light, audio, 20 minutes yesterday, about 2 hours today.
- Relic, Kindle Unlimited, 1st Pendergast novel, started today, read 66 pages so far. Fun!

Same Cathy!
And I have done no prepping at all this time around. Usually I have about 5 books started with about 100-200 pages to finish but I haven’t picked up a single book all month long, only a bit of audio/listening….

Are you going to a readathon retreat again?

currently reading:
- Sixty Harvests Left: How to Reach a Nature-Friendly Future, paper, non-fiction, 59/359 pages.
- Ship of Destiny (Liveship Traders #3), ebook, finished chapter 11, 279/913 pages.
- A Marvellous Light, 7h 37m/14h 30m of audio.
- Relic, KU, 1st Pendergast novel. 374/484 pages.
- Poison Ivy (2022-) Vol. 1: The Virtuous Cycle, eComic. 10/204 pages.
- New Adventures in Space Opera, Netgalley, short stories, read the introduction, at 4%.
planned
- The Wren in the Holly Library, on hold for the Libby ebook.
- Rotkehlchen (Harry Hole #3), paper
Mood reading, KU alternatives for Preston & Child are:
- Extinction
- The Scorpion's Tail (Nora Kelly #2)
- The Cabinet of Dr. Leng (Pendergast #21)
Or
- The Cabinet of Curiosities (Pendergast #3) from Libby. I‘m not a big fan of reading on my phone though.
