Hi, I recently got this book because I love reading mental health topics and events but rape is a very sensitive topic to me. Not necessarily triggering but it does make me feel icky. Does this book show the actual rape or just the aftermath? If it’s just the aftermath I’ll be fine but if it’s the rape part I’ll either need to skip it or just not read it which will be unfortunate.

most of the book is just the aftermath, but there is a scene where she describes the actual rape like "he did that and that".
